- Beach fishing with worm and crab. A double film as Graeme heads to the coast and collects some hardback crabs for bait, then moves to another beach in fabulous weather. It's his 2nd shore trip after lockdown but will it be as successful as his 1st one? You guys know how unpredictable shore fishing can be....He then shows a tough day where he was battling wind and tidal conditions aboard his boat "Hi Sea Drifter" just trying to catch anything off the South coast of England. As usual Graeme tells it as it is.....sit back and enjoy.

32:42 scared the hell out of me, it made me lose my breath 😂
When he speeded it up after bonking the skad it frightened the life out of me 😂😂😂
Made me jump.
😂 yes.
i know the feeling of having people swim around your line. some free divers swam right over my line middle of the winter and speared a nice Cod and flatfish right over my bait. they obviously saw me on the beach, i blinked my headlamp at them, and they blinked their flashlight back at me and proceeded towards my bait. endlessly frustrating. Very good video as always Graeme.
I feel your pain, genuinely. 99 times out of a 100 when i go fishing I go with my cousin. We're mostly left alone. However, whenever i decide to go out for a few hours by myself, I get people approaching my from everywhere! I get novice fishermen asking for tips, and after I've given them some pointers, they'll set up next to me and prattle on and on. I get people talking about the weather, the government, Brexit, etc etc etc. I'm almost always pleasant to these people, but inside i want to scream. "WHY DON'T YOU JUST F**K OFF AND LEAVE ME IN PEACE?! I'M ALONE FOR A REASON!"
Similarly, if I'm looking for a place to fish, and i spot another angler fishing, I'll say hello, ask if they're biting, and then piss off to at least 500 yards away, because I know that they're on their own through choice.
Btw, yes, I'm a fully paid up member of the miserable bastard's club.
I love when people talk to me although I did have q guy the other say I think everyone pretends to be fisherman by here never see anyone catch and then showed pics of his son or son in law catching fish when I'd blanked for 2 days on the trot felt like throwing him off the pier lol
Can I join the miserable bastards club? Can't bloody stand people coming up to me while I fish. Here in nz for some reason it's old chinese men, they come out of nowhere and stand over your shoulder looking at what you're doing or have caught, they'll only move on if you look visibly mad there they're so close 😂
you probably dont care at all but does someone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account?
I was stupid lost the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Graham Finnley Instablaster :)
Feel you 100% there when you mentioned that people are drawn to you, been trying to go to places now that it's slowly going back to normal and no matter what used to be a secret/disgreet area people wander towards you, congragations followed by entire families. Out of all that area it has to be near you, ridiculous isn't it! Just wanted to say that I'm in the process of getting my first fishing kit, I'm 30 this year so I think it's been well overdue to get this skill in me, been binging a lot of your videos and they've been a fantastic help. Much appreciated! Keep up the good work.
Depending on where you are going fishing, you may not need a lot of tackle.
Personally I've got 2 tackle boxes, one for all the big stuff and a smaller one for light tackle.
Just have fun.
"I've got the crabs" Graeme 2020
Get to the doctor mate lol ✌🕊🙏
Refreshing to see someone actually put rocks back. Nothing worse than turning rocks and finding rot under it. Great vid GP
Great to see you and talk to you when you were crab hunting ..... many thanks for all your fantastic work you have done for all of us over these tough times
More films to come, all brand new...will slow up production eventually but hope the vids all help distract from the world's current situation.
My mum left England after the war and came out to NZ. Listening to you reminds me of my connection to England. Thx
I enjoy your channel for the same reason I like Mike's. You both give variety. You may be a fishing show, which I have learned so much, but you throw in gardening, wildlife, cooking and other interesting topics. Just like TAOutdoors. Variety. Love both of them. Thanks for all the honest informative entertaining. Ohio
brilliant thanks graeme absolutely awesome stuff
I want to thank this show over lockdown. I watch epersodes for day now. And it got me back on the beach 15years later. Been fishing the last 3 weeks twice a week. Been catching some nice plaice. Thank you for giving me a spirit back to enjoy the beach again thanks mike and Graeme all the best..jay
well done of the Plaice, been a while since I had any of those off the beach.
@@TAFishing hengistbury head on the south coast
Yes Graeme another cracking video I enjoy your films they always make me smile when I’m feeling down.
It's because you mentioned the crabs, that's what attracted those swimmers to your line Graeme haha
And at the end of it a good day was had by all certainly looking back considering the situation we are in now, now everyday has to be a good day to get out and about be it fishing or walking or even sitting.
Thank you Graeme for yet another good one, i enjoyed that.
This video hits home a lot. Fishing in Portsmouth and the entire beach is available and they swim right into your line and then above your lure. Bought a kayak and now been luring for bass with success!
If your kayak is yellow they might swim right out to you !!!!! Well done with the Bass.
Haha it’s the stand up paddle boards and jet ski’s which are a new issue I’m dealing with. Thanks Very much!
Graeme, you're an undoubtedly accomplished fisherman so, it's actually good to see that you, occasionally, also blank too!
I caught crabs on the beach in Blackpool a few years ago.
Bloody itchy!!
Love it! Thanks Graeme!
Great videos. I’ve just started fishing again. First night fish in Pompey where I’m from and we got a lovely smooth hound. Keep the videos coming. I’m hooked
ehh big up pompey
I fished that beach a couple of times wonderful days wish Pompeo could fish how it did 10 year ago were big bass were easy to catch
Thank you so much for some quality content
so glad you're back at it!
I know how you feel with people swimming through your lines! I live in Cyprus happens all the time! Brilliant beach fishing scene here you should come and try it out!
I do like your videos Graeme keep up the entertainment. The section where you are hunting the crabs with the way your shadow is was so funny it looks like you are you are picking crabs from your own shadows derrière to put it pleasently. Smith thinks its funny as well!
Know how you feel, have to remember better days, with Fish naturally.
I actually loveddddd the song playing over the beach montage!!!!!!!
Caught a lovely brownie the day on the Toby 👌
Love the video I've recently got back in to fishing and I love it
Love the show All the best!
Another great video. Love watching everything by TA. What I'd give to get out fishing with you, for the wealth of knowledge that you are. Being a complete novice and still learning at fishing it would be amazing haha. Keep up the great work and tight lines
Done a few trips catching the Carp in the reservoirs on the Algarve, and tried some Barbel fishing up the Guadiana River.
On sandown pier on the Isle of Wight (my usual spot) this time of year the issue isn’t swimmers but jet skis! - loving the videos as per usual :)
Really love the vids!
Love the video
Might not be any fish but i enjoyed it just the same Graham .. Relaxing beautiful shots as well . Well done Thank's for the beautiful session .
It was a great day of weather after all said and done...Just got back from Hound fishing in Somerset..Long drive, but worth it.
Great video Graeme keep up the amazing videos
Love the bit where you knock the scad on the head! Brilliant editing 🤣🤣
Wonderful video more 🥂👏
You are Sir The most amazing Angel on you tube just awesome sou much entertainment in one video
Good bless you and your family
Best fishing show ever
Another strong set, love this chick.
Outstanding 🍻
A guy I met in the IOM, puts his surplus ragworm in a bag of sea salt crystals, then puts them in the freezer. Come out a lot better in salt than not, and not mushy either!
Sounds like a tip worth trying.
I give swimmers respect and don’t set up near them but they have to swim in your area 😡 the way i see it, if they want to swim where I’m slinging a 6oz lead with a 5.0 hook trailing it then they do so at their own risk. I won’t stop what I’m doing for ignorant swimmers.
Rant over 😂 great video mate as always 👍🏻
Brian Holm I make you right👍
thank you. a welcome vid
Great video 🎣🎣🎣
'aahhh the deep sea calleth........🐬🦈🐡🐋...🦑'
Great video!
Haha! Very true Graeme, those people who are drawn to people like mossies to a mooses bottom are a real pain. I have seen them out camping also, you can put your tent on a decolate mountain, and you bet they will put theirs two feet from yours.
Good to see you have those days as well. Never mind ,just keep playing Mikes music. :-)
Good tips.
Nice😎🎣🎣🎣👍🏼
They're Sheep Graham, should've shouted mint sauce 😋
Be alright in 2021 Graeme British waters come back to the UK no European fishing boats taking our fish
Thumbs up!!!
Clark
Maybe give drone fishing a try on the beach , juat connect a downrigger release clip under the drone, fly the drone out whatever distance you're comfortable with, give the line a quick yank to release the line and you can be fishing out several hundred feet, just make sure the drone has altitude hold, gps and return home.
I'm not into fishing. Not one bit. No reason, just not my bag. But this bloke is fascinating.
You know what the situation is, Graeme. The Spanish, French, and Dutch super trawlers coming inshore on our waters.
We had the same thing happen to us down in Devon last weekend. Fishing on the left of the beach and left the whole beach to other people and a Guy comes down and casts his float at an angle right across the front of us. He had another 1/4 mile of beach to fish.
It happens....Like the guys that stand one side of a lake then cast to the other..? I don't know why they don't just walk round and fish in the margins ? Less line in the water to spook any fish.
I'm with you. I'm also highly annoyed by people bothering me when I'm fishing on the beach.
Fancy a fish down in Hastings? You and mike are ledges!! Lol maybe be able to teach me and me and my boi a thing or 2 ! Beers are on me !!!!
brilliant
Hi there Young Graham,
And viewers.......
Please tell me why there is an oversion to
DodFish?
Can they be used for bait?
Are they any good in a rubby dubby bag?
As you can tell I can't fish.
I just love watching others do it.
And Graham could make sharpening a pencil interesting.
. Thank you all.
Generally Dogfish will snaffle a special bait you may have set out for another species,so they are often maligned. Yes you can eat them. The only bait I have heard them used for is Giant Common Skate as I think the Skate would have them as a standard food source. No,I don't think they would be any good for rubby dubby, not oily enough, but they are often used as bait in crab pots. ( Pencil sharpening film in the schedule)
Thank you for clearing that up for me.
I look forward to your work, it inspires me. X (in a blokey way)
ayyyyy langstone, my local place
If everything went according to plan when I fished, I would take up golf....🎣👍
I've done golf as well....that NEVER goes according to plan..Bunkers put in the wrong place, rough is left too long, greens are too fast etc. I think the saying is..a round of golf can ruin a good walk..
Golf is a swear word 😂🤣
Two days to go in Scotland. Although why me standing on a pier by myself was worse than people running 10k around a park I will never know
Great video as always. Hoping one day you might visit the Algarve 🤔
Been there many times, once did a professional promo film fly fishing for Blue Shark out of Lagos.
TA Fishing yes I know Lagos well I lived in Silves . Now I’m in Vale Do Lobo and fish out of Vilamoura Marina. The fishing not so good this end. But I am quite useless I think 😂😂
O.K. Not the greatest day's fishing off the beach or on the boat, but you gave both your best shot and the sunset was beautiful. Just in case you did'n't know (doubtful) you can salt Rag Worm and doing them the right way hardens them and they don't need freezing (see very recent Portsmouth Angler Video.) I hope you have better luck next time. Thanks for posting.
Would you believe it, but have been living in New Zealand for 14 years and no one here digs for lugworms
I really need to get hold of a bait pump, as I live 5 mins from a 5 mile sandy beach. (Pegasus bay christchurch)
I miss the uk but here is better, your videos make me laugh as they are so entertaining
Well done mate
In Australia were not aloud to take anything with in the 2M tidal zone, to protect the vertibrits ?.
Thanks Graeme
Hi Graham. What beech is that? It looks stunning
Please please please do a video using bacon as bait for flat fish.. I've just started pier fishing and had a few and am really tempted to use bacon as bait as I've heard its fantastic for flounder....
Your not alone I spent a few days at west sands and no fish to show for it
Later that evening lots of other anglers turned up fishing.I think I saw just one Dogfish caught before it got dark. Of course they could have piled onto the baits after 11pm when I left, but somehow with a falling tide I don't think so.
Great video as always Mr Pullen quick question that pipe you added to the tripod for the "shotgun" rod where did you get it please and roughly what size is it please its a wonderful idea and I want to adopt it
Just a piece of sawn off sink waste pipe..Get a size that fits your rod butt first though.
You're supposed to eat that Mackerel mate.
Graeme started watching your videos so I can take my grandson fishing we have had a few goes but caught nothing guys I've spoken to say our ponds are always slow to start. My question is ground bait I have a bag of dried meal worms that we feed the ducks could I mix some of them in the ground bait?
Yes you can. Anything that brings in the fishes curiousity into your baited hook is good. Could even use garden worms
Cheers Jon thought you could just wondered if there were certain thing frowned upon didn't want to upset fishing etiquette
I went fishing on bank holiday, there was probably around 20 fisherman at hayling island, not one of us even had a bite. I left most of my baits close to an hour in water
I'm on the isle of wight and a popular fishing spot in Cowes I had to go down 2 hours early just to get a spot, so many people going out fishing now that we're allowed it's crazy, must have been 50 vans and cars packed with rods coming down to see if there's a spot
Would it work putting the bream down as live bait for a bass or something.
Heard of a tope caught recently with its mouth full of bream hooks. So guess it was taking them as they were being reeled in.
Another Beautiful Fishing Video.
Congratulations, this place is wonderful and has Big Fish.
Hug!!!👍
same with people and dogs on the beach, out of all the beach they gotta go where u are
If I had worms and crabs, I would head for the nearest hospital!
They have pills for both !!!
Can you tell me where the location is in the first part of the beach fishing bit on the video please, would like to try it out
Many thanks
Prob spider crabs ripping the bait off
Is that Langston Harbour you're looking for bait in?
last 2 times i went sea fishing i blanked but it was great just to be over 100 miles away from the normal
Exactly..it was just nice to get out in the open and try to do something verging on the "normal"..even though the fish didn't join in...They will another day.
"you're getting to old for that " think of us across the water who can only fish if we can walk to the sea, thankfully i can
I live in Cardiff and unfortunately I'm severely disabled thus can only go fishing because of that fact. Though due to my personal limits I am not safe to fish alone. This Govts. policies seem more like Martial Law than sensible social distancing rules.
Lobster on your piano is better than crabs on your organ !
ive had a problem like this ,, wind surfers and dragged my diawa millionare 7HT plus rod into the sea ,, a guy in a wet suit recovered my gear,, but i was ready to slice up the sails of the wind surfer because he dragged my tripod over earlier before and was warned to keep away
What bait do you usually use to make a brick x
What I've noticed over the years that commercial fishing has basically wiped out fish species near the beach, there used to be lots of fish near the beaches years ago but now if you ever go under the water even in places that are not populated by people the water if void of many fish.
Or fish during low light,or into darkness seems the only option. Sometimes even that doesn't work.
I'm sure that you would agree that fishing from the beach 30 - 40 years ago you would have had many more bites & catches during the daytime compared to these days.
loooooooooooool I have this carp fishing at some lakes and places I fish, a group or few lads suddenly turn up and bang, have to jump in where im fishing or near me. So annoying, its not miserable its annoying because it can effectively destroy all of your effort and hard work or anticipation and hope in just a few moments.
i understand G. coz where i go fishing theirs sailing boats who think they own the river
A good fishery for carp is frobury fa fishery in hampshire
I did write articles for the fishing magazines many years ago but don't think I ever filmed there.
Never been a fan of shore fishing prefer boat fishing
Really good video 👌
Would you guys mind doing a proper autobiographical interview?? I (and I’m sure all of us) would be sooo interested to hear as much about normal Pullen life life as physically possible! If I wear to devise some questions would you be happy to answer them on record?? Would be a great insight into fishing’s most interesting and real character!! Cheers!! A huge fan! Jack from Hampshire aswell!!!
We had this the other day grey absolutley rediculous they always have the whole beach but have to swim where you are I was so pissed off we put a lot of effort into our pass time
Understand your frustration with those idiots! You can go to commercial lake and your the only one there and then someone else turns up and sits right opposite you!
I wouldn't mind but I personally yomped the extra distance to find a beach away from all the others... I was alone until........
Heck ya here we goooo let's fish
You ever think about making a hook rig for a drone and flying it a few hundred yards and then drop it?
Mike has a couple of drones but we rarely use them now. I think its like watching your bank balance fly away every time he sends it up...Constant worry...but they do get good pictures.
@@TAFishing Have him rig your bait, line, and weight to one and haul it out over the water. Connect it to a quick release that you can disengage by tugging the line slightly, so it falls in the water a few hundred yards out. Maybe get a cheap one to try :D
Hi is that braided line and how many pounds is it
I think it was 50lb braid.
I think i've blanked more this year than any year I can remember. I think im up to my 12th blank already and it's only May.
Change species or venues.
@@TAFishing Changing species might be a good idea, I've been to a lot of beaches, rock marks and piers already. Going to head up to Brixham breakwater tomorrow and try my hand at the mini species.
Cheers
