- Lt. Gen. Darryl A. Williams assumes duties as the 60th Superintendent of the of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point July 2, 2018. Williams is a 1983 Academy graduate.
Apparently being superintendent is no longer a sunset assignment. LTG Williams has been nominated for command of US Army Europe-Africa, and promotion to 4 stars. The last time a superintendent was bumped up to 4 stars was in the early 70's IIRC.
