  • Knauf Insulation ECOSEAL Plus™ with Gasket Pro Technology, is a fast drying, water-based elastomeric spray that seals penetrations and joints in the building envelope, as well as provides a gasket between studs and drywall. ECOSEAL Plus dries to a flexible tough film and has great bond strength with low odor and zero V.O.C’s. ECOSEAL Plus should be used with Knauf Insulation EcoBatt® or Knauf Insulation Premium Blowing Wool Insulation. Together, they form the ECOSEAL Plus System-a high performance, continuous and affordable air and thermal barrier for the building envelope.

A size .013 tip is recommended for most applications. More installation info can be found here: res.cloudinary.com/knauf-insulation/image/upload/v1578607675/Knauf%20Insulation/ECOSEAL%20Plus/Literature/knauf-ecoseal-plus-sealant-data-sheet.pdf

If the product is supposed to be for air sealing, why are you testing it as a construction adhesive? I would be more convinced if you compared how much Ecoseal and caulk stop air flow.

adhesion is the byproduct of the air sealing.

So your example is flawed, your using a more viscous blue sealant, on the top of a vertical opening. But hay science and physics may not be in your history of education. Since heat rises, and moisture is carried in this hot air, and where much of the damage in homes especially in roof cavities simulated use in that condition would be likely more valuable.

This wont be a problem unless you cover large areas with sealant, if you just cover openings moisture can travel easy.

Seal tite vent right. I like to control the way my house breathes, i dont like my insulation acting as lungs. Moisture build up is from bad ventilation and oversized Hvac sizing. No dehumidifiers and no energy recovery ventilators.
