I think it means the monsters that are kinda in the middle in terms of volume. On a first listen,they may not be heard. But after s few replays they do seem 'louder'.

Peckdina, flootfly, theremind, fiddlement, gloptic, flouress, and tootoo are not quiet.... It just depends to theyre place....
Add replace them with yuggler, bulbo, uuduuk, gob, and plinkajou... They are too QUIET
