To all those who have disparaging things to say about Gia because she doesn’t compare to Keely I have this to say…Louis knew talent and he is the one who chose Gia to replace Keely.
She's definitely talented even though she's not in Keely's class, but few are..it's still a pleasure to hear her sing. Prima really had an eye for talent but he's a dog.
And speaking of Hendricks (of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross) THEY do a wonderful tune called "Cloudburst", has a riff in the middle which requires the same nimble tongued almost-scat tempo as "I Want You To Be..". A great companion piece! And I really was blown away: Gia hung in there, moving right along with Lou, syllable for syllable! Terrific performance all round and a nice musical memory!
Used to listen to Lambert, Jon Hendricks and Annie Ross on Symphony Sid in 1959. Cloudburst is a good song.

They married in 1963 and she and Louis have a 2-year-old daughter, Lena Prima. And this is not the first joint performance of Louis and Gia ever tv.
