  • The Duratus Mind - A podcast exploring all things performance, mindset and motivation. Gaz, a former Special Forces Sergeant Major but now personal coach, opens up his network to try and understand what motivates some to risk so much, why some are so driven, and what it really takes to achieve success.
Titch Cormack is a former Royal Marine and then UKSF Sergeant who pushed himself and his body to the limits through his military career. His career was brought to an end after 21 years due to a number of injuries out of his control. But Titch didn't pause for a moment and he used the same determination and motivation which brought him his success in his first career into converting an old fish processing factory into one of Poole's and also the UK's most fascinating cafe's and motorcycle workshop - The S Bomb.
Gaz and Titch talk all things mindset, purpose, resilience, military transition and success. Follow Titch on Instagram and Facebook @sbombvintageworkshop and @titchcormack

Me born in Exmouth 1951, dad in the Royal Marines. As a ten year old I used to go on the training ground at Lympstone camp & Straight Point firing range etc. Had haircuts at the camp. Fell off a rope on Woodbury Common (age 14) landed on a pushbike, the peddle just missed my spine, broke ribs which punctured my lung. Listening to this has been quite a coincidental hoot. Great memories & superb chat . Oh! & still riding motorbikes. 👍

So happy I came across this podcast. I've been following Jocko Willink's podcast and other similar US podcasts for some time now and it got me thinking there should be UK podcasts of similar nature. A bit of search and came across Duratus. This is my second one in two days and I just had to comment as Titch is not only entertaining and proper stud but his accent also reminds me of my favourite politics professor (with whom I even went to see a Hull game miles away from our university but had too many beers to be able to concentrate - which was probably a good thing because I'm neither a Hull supporter nor was the game worth it 😂). Thank you both for your service and keep up the good work!
