Devgiri Bilawal was Panditji's highly creative expressions. We have heard this raaga numerous times and every time it produced such amazing creative upaj that one would wonder his expanse of intelligence especially singing jod raaga. He used to say, jod raaga is like a well cooked, seasoned Dal. One should not cook dal being separate from water, when offered to ear. Then it is not a jod raaga!

A genuine master. He deserved a lot more fame and name. Atleast a Padma Shri now😓

It is unfortunate that he did not receive the due recognition that he deserved and the government should look at even if he is no more. However, as Panditji believed himself, he valued the worth of the musician and himself based on (s)he was able to create genius moments of spontaneous creativity that reached the pinnacle of expression and emotion.

Namaste, Panditji's music is undoubtedly mesmerizing. This one, in particular, is no less. However, to my ears, the vilambit theka seemed like Teentaal and not Tilwada as given in the descripition. I request a correction, in case my observation was incorrect. Thank you.
