Shashwati Mandal: Raag Devgiri Bilawal

Shashwati Mandal continued her recital with a wonderfully sensitive rendition of Raag Devgiri Bilawal, a favourite of the Gwalior gharana.
Shashwati was accompanied by Udayraj Karpur on tabla and Dr. Mausam on harmonium. Tanpura support was provided by Jagannath Rao and BN Shivprasad.

Incredible. How few are the voices that remain so sublimely warm and pleasing at all times! Though long for western ears, this raga kept me spellbound.
