End of story. They had an opportunity to show that this type of behaviour wad unacceptable, said they were going to, then waffled on that statement and rewarded him instead. That sets a precedent, and you can't walk back on that suddenly when another fighter acts like an ass to a lesser extent. They should have thrown the book at Conor and shown the roster that the legitimacy of the sport was more important than a big payday, and that the sport itself is more important than one fighter, but they didn't. Now they're stuck with guys like Conor, Dannis, Covington, Werdum, Khabib, DC(who plays innocent but started ALL the crap with Jones) and a whole slew of upcoming fighters seeing THOSE assholes rewarded by the company and praised by fans for their actions. McGregor crossed the line when he called Khabibs father a coward, when he said all Dagestanis have weak chins, when he talked shit about his religion, when he threw a damn dolly at a bus...I honestly had no dog in this fight, but an honorable man makes another man pay when he talks shit about his father, his country, his religion...khabib felt that he needed to make a statement, and he sure as hell did that tonight. Nobody talked like this when Conor threw a dolly at a bus and injured innocent people in the process...the media completely ate it up and stayed on McGregors nuts.
