- We have a brand new Thunder Laser Nova 63 in the shop and we wanted to really max out its enormous bed size. In goes this slab of salvaged Pin Oak to see how this goes. Laser engraving large surfaces can be tricky so it seemed lie the perfect way to put this to the test.
Man that laser is dope. Such a cool effect.
Cooler than we expected even with all that grain on the oak
the lines look so sharp and clear, almost making the black parts appear raised as if they're 3d or something. looks great. i love that you can get all this going on without paint. i bet it smells good, too
Y'all just flexin' with that huge Thunder Laser! Nice job!
That laser is a monster. The table turned out great - love the pattern
The laser bed is enormous. So many possibilities!
Love the grain texture as you noted in the unengraved areas. Cool discovery. The sharp geometric pattern is a nice contrast to the natural wood.
This looks fantastic. The only thing I was thinking is where you mentioned glass for the top, you could always epoxy the top. Just a thought. 😊
Nice work 💪
That could rapidly become a serious Epoxy addiction! 2 passes on that setting would be more than deep enough to make a very nice epoxy inlay!
I'm about to purchase a diode laser and I like what I'm seeing from Thunder Lasers. They seem to do very well on just about everything.
Quick question... are they compatible with Lightburn?
Yes, I used light burn to set up this engrave
@@MakersWorkshopLLC Okay, awesome. Thanks!
