Now I wanna cry because I bought a new bottle of the pink stuff because I saw/heard it could work on my glass stove top. I'm so confused with this bloody thing because I can never seem to get the marks up...
I have a question 🙋🏻♀️ How do you have the time to clean all those places and how can you afford to buy all the cleaning products and things that you buy for those you help? 🙃 Never stop what you’re doing, you’re an absolute Angel ❤
If the grout is dirty, the seal is already gone. That's the purpose of sealed grout. My husband is a flooring contractor and toilet bowl cleaner is the go to when the grout is dirty. He just reseals when it's done.
I have that same wooden utensil set 😂 I sometimes forgot that I left them in the sink so it could soak the food off, then the wooden handle came off. Now I know😂
The Pink Stuff is an abrasive cleaner. It says it on every container. But, since it is a mild abrasive, they suggest that as long as you don't press too hard on glass, it will probably not scratch. Here is the warning from the back of a container: "Cautions: Do not use on plastic or acrylic surfaces or highly polished stainless steel. Do not use on hot or warm surfaces. Do not apply too much pressure on glass and ceramic hobs as it may scratch the surface." So I'd say it's really a "use at your own risk" on glass situation. For someone who doesn't have good control of the pressure they're using, it would be best to clean glass surfaces with a non-abrasive glass cleaner.
Shaving cream on mirrors is a great fog preventative though! You only need a small amount, for my mirror it’s about the size of a tangerine. It does leave a *very slight* film on the mirror, but it’s barely noticeable. You’d want the cheap east one you can find, and not the blue expanding one.
Pink stuff paste is very gritty and does scratch surfaces. It also does not clean well. I used it in my white porcelain kitchen sink and it did not take out any stains or grime. Then I rinsed it all off and filled the sink with hot water and added vinegar and baking soda and let it sit for about 5 minutes. When I drained it and rinsed and wiped the sink was white again and the grime and stains were gone. I didn’t even have to scrub.
So glad I’ve not tried any of these. I boiled my bamboo steamer to prep it, but that’s it. Oh yeah .. Wooden tools get a special oil once in a while. I’ve got a few fancy ones for wok use.
I've been cleaning and tried many things to find better more effective and efficient about half of the time good elbow grease & patience is what is required. Trial and errors have taught me a lot as well as quietly watching my parents who are fortunately or unfortunately "perfectionists". iE. I created pastes for porcelain sinks, although effective, I'd not recommend to anyone as they'd create fumes. Prior to the clothe stripping craze, I call it "degrease", I too was "degreasing" my clothes but in buckets & only when I felt it necessary & w/a decreasing solution, I wasn't about to go through the process of creating a degreaser when there are products on the market (which can get expensive) but if you love particular clothing articles or you wish to hand down your childrens favorite items. One tip for saving some fave articles... never reuse whites or lights twice in a row without laundering the lighter the item. Natural body oils, dead skin cells & lotions are not kind to whites and lights, they can go from new to dinghy in just a few outings.
As a chef working in a stainless steel kitchens we use edible oil for ss surfaces after cleaning as a protective coat. Its such a tiny amount thats not even greasy.
The only thing I would use in my bathroom after washing and completing everything is. I would actually put shaving cream on the middle mirror And wipe it off. It will keep all the steam moisture off of it. It's good and will probably work for about 2 and a 1/2 weeks.
Shaving cream I've used a little on my mirrors and wallpaper works great in small doses on expensive wallpaper. I've also used shaving cream on fridge magnetic strip to get rid of mold
If you do the shaving cream on the bathroom floor I recommend using only a small amount. Like waaaaay less then you’d think. I’ve used shaving cream on desks for students and after the first couple of times realized I was giving them way too much and it was so hard to completely wipe clean
When I saw the scrub daddy on the electric stove I was cringing with horror. Honestly people really don’t think before trying some of this stuff out? Thank you for the warning.

Now I wanna cry because I bought a new bottle of the pink stuff because I saw/heard it could work on my glass stove top. I'm so confused with this bloody thing because I can never seem to get the marks up...
Barkeeper's Friend or Scrub Daddy Power Paste will get any burnt on spots up with a little elbow grease.
I’ve never had an issue with cleaning my glass stove top with the pink stuff. I love using it to get burn marks off.
Dude you’re a real one. I was literally about to buy the pink stuff.
Findly, the voice of wisdom and logic. I appreciate you!
Best sense I have heard in a long time. Thank you!🎉
What do you use to clean the grout in the shower/bathtub tiles ?
Yeah! Someone who knows how to take care of wooden utensils. I don’t soak or put in dishwasher either
Thank you! Its nice to hear some common sense on CZcams for once👌
I have a question 🙋🏻♀️ How do you have the time to clean all those places and how can you afford to buy all the cleaning products and things that you buy for those you help? 🙃
Never stop what you’re doing, you’re an absolute Angel ❤
I tried the shaving gel one last week, biggest mistake ever 😂
The floor was EXTREMELY slippery even after trying to get the stuff up for hours 😅
I didn't realize the toilet bowl grout cleaner was bad!
If the grout is dirty, the seal is already gone. That's the purpose of sealed grout. My husband is a flooring contractor and toilet bowl cleaner is the go to when the grout is dirty. He just reseals when it's done.
I didn't either. My tile has never been cleaner after using it on my grout.
Most cleaning hacks are bad. If it's not what it's meant for, don't do it
I use baby oil on my stainless steel sink. It keeps water from beading up and makes the sink look clean longer.
Thank you so much for debunking the nonsense
A sane voice. Thank you.
Also: Cleaning with baking soda and vinegar together. I hear people sharing this "advice" frequently, but y'all, they neutralize each other.
I have that same wooden utensil set 😂 I sometimes forgot that I left them in the sink so it could soak the food off, then the wooden handle came off. Now I know😂
Dang, you're really saving people here. Good to see someone making this kind of content!
Pink Stuff has done beautifully for my glass stove. I haven't seen any scratches personally
Most of the commercial stainless steel cleaners contain mineral oil (essentially baby oil). It’s more of a polisher than a cleaner.
Thanks for educating us!!
👏🏻👏🏻 Thaaaaank you
I have used the PINK cleaner with an e-cloth on my glass stove top for the last 2 1/2 years and never had it scratch🤷🏼♀️
I agree. I don’t have to even scrub it hard with the pink stuff and mine hasn’t scratched. But most people don’t let it set and scrub furiously.
What’s an e-cloth?
@@xoxo.cc1 it comes as a cloth or you can get it in a like a dish sponge and it is not suppose to scratch
i was wondering about this one i used it too and on glas doors and it hasn’t scratched it but now with this video in scared to used it
Thank you for dropping these GEMS YOU ARE APPRECIATE 🎉❤
Glad im not on tiktok because I've never even heard of these
Shaving cream on mirrors is a great fog preventative though! You only need a small amount, for my mirror it’s about the size of a tangerine.
It does leave a *very slight* film on the mirror, but it’s barely noticeable. You’d want the cheap east one you can find, and not the blue expanding one.
We used to use it in the hospital I worked at so people could shave and stuff after they showered. Worked great!
Please keep these coming !! ❤❤
Thank you!!!! Honestly it’s really hard to know what’s wrong and what’s right
Cleaning tik toks really be like : ok know you’re gonna want to spread the Elmer’s glue and potting soil ALL over your countertops
Thank you I knew these sounded crazy .
I love this so much 😂 people do not have common sense anymore and will believe anything 😂😂😂😂Thank you for sharing
As a chef working in a stainless steel kitchens we use edible oil for ss surfaces after cleaning as a protective coat. Its such a tiny amount thats not even greasy.
I fell for the shaving cream and it took forever to clean up! Shiny bit a nightmare. Thank you ❤️
Great tips thank you so much!😊
Thanks for the heads-up on pink stuff on cook top
Thank you for sharing.
OH!!! Thank U 4 Sharing! I had been thinking of doing the grout!! Glad I saw this before!!!
Thank god someone finally made this!!!
Literally never heard of ANY of these, but thanks for the knowledge either way
This is a good video. Well done.
I have never heard of any of these until now.
Thank God I haven’t tried many of those!! Thank you sooo much!!
I was shocked with the scrub daddy one. I’ve seen a lot of people do that one lol
The only thing I would use in my bathroom after washing and completing everything is. I would actually put shaving cream on the middle mirror And wipe it off. It will keep all the steam moisture off of it. It's good and will probably work for about 2 and a 1/2 weeks.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 thanks for this ❤❤
Shaving cream I've used a little on my mirrors and wallpaper works great in small doses on expensive wallpaper.
Ahhh the good old barracks cleaning kit!
Good video, thank u!
Oh my good lord - mi-cro-bile !! YES I LOVE IT❤️❤️ I’m saying that now😂
It gives - micro-wa-vey energy
THANKGOD! We need this type of sense to be common
I have the same wooden utensil set thank you very much for the information😊
Great info!
Thank you for saying that about the woden spoons, is so annoying to se people boiling and looking at the oil in the water and thinking is grime
When I saw the scrub daddy on the electric stove I was cringing with horror. Honestly people really don’t think before trying some of this stuff out? Thank you for the warning.
I totally agree with you on this
Cool thanks , never thought of doing these a day in my life before
Finally the voice of reason! People, do some research before doing some stupid tiktok trend!!
I’ve never heard of any these. People are making some pretty interesting choices out there
