  • Hey LEGO Maniacs! Today we'll be taking a look at the LOZ mini brand, one I have never seen, or heard of...
Our test subject this week will be the Ancient Street which is a lot like the modular line from LEGO except its in micro scale , we'll see where this model stands looking into both its positives and negatives...
As always let me know what you guys think? Thanks for watching and may the brick be with you... always

I'm a simple man: I see bootlego, I hit the like button.
Non Lego content is the best content. Haha

Years ago I got a Loz version of R2D2 and C3P0 brick heads... it was so bad, always falling apart

I am glad that non-Lego brick sets are reviewed.
The house does look surprisingly nice. The side builds and the minifigs do give it more than enough personality. The whole street must be lovely when comple with all 3 sets.
I never bought anything from Loz because I'm weary of the smaller pieces. They are not compatible with Lego and I'm afraid they would mix with my Lego pieces and be a nuisance when I build with real Lego pieces (or with pieces from other brands compatible with Lego).

Hey no worries, some people get really triggered when I review non LEGO brands. I am not a fan of Lepin, Bella ect. But don't mind brands like Mega Blocks ect that come up with their own stuff. And yeah haha, the difference in sizes is different for sure

Wow I'm not sure how I feel about this. The smaller scale is interesting but that also means comparable small pieces are even smaller with this brand. Hmmm...

Its wierd, only have ran into smaller pieces once before, its really strange lol

I’m a Lego Collector have dabbled in this brand with four Sets. It’s something I don’t bring up with AFOL’s. Yes: instructions Bad, piece’s missing, defective parts. They come close to crossing the line with Lego. They do a ideas theme and architecture theme so not squeaky Clean.
But he buy a set give it ago they’re not expensive. Some cool Asian Building designs.
    Great Review…..😀

Hey thanks Brick Man, and I'll have to research them a bit more. I like the fact they come up with their own designs. I don't like it when they copy personally. And yeah lol, some fans get really triggered

Unfortunately they have copied some items which is not illegal. Anybody can design a blacksmith’s shop but because Lego has done it …… it’s deemed by AFOLS Questionable. Here in Australia Close to Asia we get a lot of LOZ Sets. They have a large amount of Sets.

If its their own design and its a Blacksmith that doesn't bother me personally. Just if its outright copied lol

Lego needs to make houses again. There's a gap in the market.

Cmon' mate, the pieces design is exactly the same, only on a smaller scale. For me, they are robbing LEGO. Only the legs are different. A judge should stop all these companies that CLONE all the original LEGO brick designs.

...Until they are consistently different, of course. Remember EXIN castillos? those where working on a different approach.

Hmm interesting take, whats your opinion on Mega Blocks? The patent actually expired in 1989 which is interesting, I am not a fan of Lepin, Bella ect since there copying LEGO's design and are poor in quality. I'll have to check out that brand, not familiar with it, sounds cool 🔥

    • @koopanique
      @koopanique Před 2 lety +2

Lego tried to have these companies close. They did manage to close some of them IIRC. But as you know, the patent for the Lego brick is long gone (since around 1990), so Lego has trouble fighting those companies, because those companies are not doing anything illegal (except those who steal Lego designs -- that's illegal, that's why Lego was able to have Lepin close a few years ago).
Lego is an incredibly expensive product, I'm glad I live in a time where I can buy cheaper knockoffs that are still good quality. You don't like it? Well, Lego doesn't either, but since they can't close the legal knockoffs, they can always cry and watch me buy fake lego for a decent price 🤷

@@koopanique I will buy Loz over Lego, Lego can go cry they charge way too much for plastic blocks.
