I have been buying, shooting, and trading Marlin rimfires my whole life. They are my favorite manufacturer of rimfire rifles. I will go out on a limb here and say, Marlin never made an inaccurate bolt action rimfire. I have never seen one that did not produce SUPERIOR accuracy. That are just about flawless in that regard. The most accurate rifle I ever owned was a Marlin 25M with open sights that I bought from a Wal Mart. Not much to look at, but it shot so well, it was truly amazing.
I BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE BACK IN THE EARLY 80'S WHEN I WORKED AT MONTGOMERY WARDS TRULY ONE OF THE MOST ACCURATE RIFLES I EVER OWNED. SADLY I THINK I TRADED IT FOR SOME OTHER GUN SOME YEARS AGO THAT WAS MORE GLITTER THAN GOOD.
I agree. I own a 780 22LR and the 782 22 mag and they r tack drivers. the mag is a little more accurate I wouldn’t sell them for nothing. They don’t make them like that anymore. Both with walnut stocks they would be damn near thousand dollar rifles nowadays. I love my Marlins. 🎯
I have a steel version with a wood stock. I personally like a lot of magnification in my scopes, 4.5-18X40 for the magnum, so I can easily sight small targets at distance.
No mention of the Stainless Steel. Stainless Steel is awesome. A Marlin Micro Groove Stainless Steel 22 magnum barrel is about as awesome as it gets. I wish my 983t was SS.
Got this same rifle had it for 3 years so far. Upgraded to the Nikon prostaff 22lr scope and shooting hornady and cci. Shoots the bullseye out at 100 yards stay away from armscor ammo doesn't shoot good groups at all. Highly recommend Nikon scope on this rifle. The hornady 30 gr ammo shoots the best if you can find it
I've had an 882 SSV .22 WMR for 25 years. Hasn't had 300 rounds through it yet. Still meaning to do a Rifle Basix trigger upgrade before I kick the bucket. :-)
Hi.!!
I had to laugh when you said you don't need a high powered scope. Really, You would treat this gun like a stepchild and give it a 4.5X scope? Have you even shot this gun?
I recently bought a marlin 883, the same as the video, just do not get much on the performance of this rifle on the internet, know if is still in production? marlin in the catalog is not listed, are the appropriate ammunition? dispando could upload videos?
How the hell are you going to fit a sound moderator on that rifle, even if you removed the open sights and had it threaded you probably could not load it, probably that the reason it's so cheap, that's the trade off.
AN ASSAULT RIFLE IS SEMI AUTO OR FULL AUTO NOT BOLT ACTION!!!!! 22 MAG IS NOT GOOD FOR SQUIRRELS TO POWERFULL. IT'S FOR COYOTE. THE FIRST 11 SHOTS IS WARNING SHOTS THE LAST ONE IS THE KILLER.
I hope you're joking. An attached tube magazine is generally exempt from high capacity bans, as their size is limited to the length of the barrel and they are not interchangeable. Plus it is Bolt Action. Not Semi Automatic.
Wow can’t believe this right here it’s a attached tube magazine goes by the length of the barrel these guns with the tubes are in no way of a assault rifle aka armalite rifle. This gun is not semi auto either it’s a bolt that makes it bolt action. Get some knowledge on guns before your write something down.

How much do you think this riffle is worth?
@@carlosflores6124 I SOLD MY A COUPLE YEARS AGO FOR $340. WORTH ALOT MORE NOW WITH MARLIN GONE AND JUST THE HIGH COST OF GUNS IN GENERAL.
@@coolhandjake4570 I bought this rifle and it shoots terrible groups like a baseball size group at 50 yards I was pretty bummed out

I love mine, very, very accurate. Pretty rifle, my show off target gun.
it looks awesome!
Beautiful rifle
I have a chance to buy this exact rifle in almost brand new condition at the shop I work at and I can’t wait to get it!

Ok and 50 grs ??? For 125 yds conservation of energy is more favorable
I shoot 40 grain in lr and wmr, cci is my go to
I just bought a 882ss and it looks like new for 200 and it is a great shooter. I will put a scope on it .

Looks exactly like my old XT-22MTSL. Wish I'd never sold it.
40 grains at 2000 fps (22 favorable sectional density and TRUE JACKETED BULLET ) can kill an elk or a bear with a good place round !!!!
Kill anything in North America

Nice 22 mag
Do a video on a 222 Savage

The 22 mag has been around for a long time and hits about as hard as a 38 cal , they will pretty much kill what you want to hunt with them !!
How does the 783 compare to the 883????
It would look another nicer with the right rings
What is his reach?
Gun reviews without range time included is like sex with protection.....lacking.
How is the recoil on it.?
there is none
22 mag marlin stainless steel

It's a 22mag dumb ass not an assault rifle or is it intended for large game ! Get a clue newbie!!!
The 22 mag will not fit in a standard 22 rifle or pistol and the 22 mag hits twice as hard as a 22 long rifle and puts large holes in game animals !!
I have one that I bought 30 years ago. The trigger is a dog, very heavy and creepy. I bought it before I knew what I was doing!
The marlin 22 mag is an excellent rifle better than the 17
Nothing.
what 12 rounds say goodbye to that gun its an assault mag22 i mean who on earth needs 12 rounds to hunt squirrel or stuff.
AN ASSAULT RIFLE IS SEMI AUTO OR FULL AUTO NOT BOLT ACTION!!!!! 22 MAG IS NOT GOOD FOR SQUIRRELS TO POWERFULL. IT'S FOR COYOTE. THE FIRST 11 SHOTS IS WARNING SHOTS THE LAST ONE IS THE KILLER.
you kind of missed the point but oh well.

Personally I need 12 rounds to kill 12 squirrels.
