Regarding props in shot- this is a trade-off of having a master shots option called “obstacle avoidance” mode enabled. When this is enabled the drone actually flies orbits with the front facing towards the direction of travel to use the front facing sensors. The camera tilts to the side to keep the subject in frame - hence the props in shot. You can change this setting to avoid props in shot but that will carry more risk of flying sideways into an obstacle. Hope this helps 😊

Precisely Wilder, wind doesn't help this as well if the drone has to tilt in order to maintain it's position during the orbit, plus the larger FOV of this drone. We have a video coming out about this soon.
@Rixx1313 if you don't want props in shot then you should change the setting while you're in flight to "Composition", but props don't always appear, only in some conditions, so shoot it and see how it looks in the standard setting first
@@Droning-ON hello I have the same problem with the propellers, I thought it was a problem with my drone air 2 s, but I see that many have that problem, so what should I do? To change the configuration to COMPOSITION mode, is it done while you are in flight before giving STAR to the mastershot? where is that configuration? in the three points and in camera?

Thanks for excellent start test on the mastershots. Where may I find the way to change the music selections as offered by the program and preselect which one you wish to use and save. Also how can you save your own music background into the program and not use the pre-packaged backgrounds?? Could this be a short training video in your future?? When you fly the SC with the Air2S, does the orientation (heading) of the SC in the App’s map being 180 deg off?
My SC have this issue back when it can fly the Air 2, now it’s the same with the Air 2S.
Is it my SC issue, or it’s also happening to yours?

Hi there . Great Video. Question : Were you not scared the drone would crash into the trees on the LAST Mastershot with the tress around you ? As I understand that my AIR2S ( I got last week) does not have side obstacle avoidance on it and when it would do a circle you would have to set it as HIGH height I am guessing then ? Thanks

So I am thinking if you don't create the mastershot on device then the individual files should still be available for a manual edit once taken from the sd card ?
Can you transfer the master shot from the app to the SD card in the drone with the rest of the footage you may shoot?
Hey buddy, can u please explain the led lights to me. In my air 2s the front leads r flashing green and the rear LEDs r flashing red with a full battery. Is that normal or is something wrong?? Should the LEDs be flash green in the front and back?? Thank u for your time!!
question - you use the smart controller but it is occ 2 and the air 2s is occ 3 do you think it matters that the smart controller may not be up to spec with the air 2S? keen to know whether its worth the additional spend. thanks

Thanks for your video. I have a question about the master/quick shot: Is there (like with the mini) still an unremovable DJI-logo at the end of the finished/exportable (quick- and master-) shot?
Is there a way to remove it while still using the result of the app (keeping music or/and using the templates)?

How much the area has to be clear to use that feature? I never flown a drone? Can I do a mastershot in front of my two-story home if there are no trees in the front.
Hi, I saw that the videos that are produced with Mastershot always remain in the top right frame with the propellers. Is this a defect of this drone?
I think you can do mastershots in 1080p, 2.7k or 4k (only 30fps for all). When starting mastershots configuration it'll always go for the 1080p but you can change it before starting. Don't know if it'll download to the app at anything better than 1080p though...

Does mastershot allow you to set manual setting for White Balance?
I can't figure how to make the Master shot longer. Instead of 2 minutes, I'd like to make it maybe 3 - 5 minutes. Got any tips to change the duration?

How can it to get Zoom in Zoom out effect in Mastershots? My mastershots missing this effect.
A colleague of mine said that bitrate problem actually is caused by a slow SD Card. Try getting a better and faster one and it should solve the lags he said. Anyone confirm it before I buy a new card?

Doesn’t automatically detect close objects when using mastershots?
This will be an interesting feature for a guy like me...fly fishing on a river all by myself. I can set it and starting casting. Then I just want to go through the individual clips and use the clips I want to in my own edit. Sucks it's just 1080p though, but not a deal breaker. Wait, I just heard you say the clips are already combined. That sucks, but I can cut them as needed. Thanks for the info!
Yeah exactly, autonomous flying so that you can get more fishing done ☺️
The clips are combined but you can easily seaprate them in editing.
On a 7:02 look at the bottom right of a screen. There's an option for mastershots resolution. You can choose 1080 / 2.7K / 4K
Great video Ash, I got my 2S in the air and forgot how to get into Mastershots lol, watched your video and managed to figure it out. Mastershots now available in 4k :) and not just 1080p
How to switch to 4k?? After I selected Mastershots I tried to adjust to 4k, but only HD 1080p is available in menu....:-(

You can get rid of the props by changing settings in camera from obstacle avoidance to composition. This is done when in Mastershots before you start
I just bought OneDJI air 2s and I also own a smart controller , Iread somewhere that there are problems using this whit air 2s, What do you think about the pairing? Thanks
I'm using it with mine, it's not as fast as a regular phone and app for the DJI Fly application, but it's absolutely usable. Just ensure that you regularly keep your Smart Controller clean, remove old firmware update files and keep caches flushed every few months.
It records to the sd card too right?
When I do master shots it won't work and it's telling me showing to lower flight altitude or go to settings. I don't get it. First time drone flyer.

Every time I try to take a Mastershots, after clicking Start, I keep getting a message that the drone will "reach it's maximum altitude... please lower drone or check settings..." for the life of me, I can't figure out what to change in order to get it to work. Nothing I change seems to make that error message go away, and I've only been able to get it to do a Mastershots one time out of maybe a dozen.... Anyone have any ideas?

The props seem to be showing up on quite a few reviews. Something i hope that can be fixed with a firmware update.

I believe its a settings under camera with two options - obstacle avoidance and composition. When in default mode (obstacle avoidance) there is a warning that props may show.
This is the only thing that is holding me back not to buy this drone. In theory, we shouldn't be turning off Obstacle avoidance. I recently lost my dji Mavic mini 2 in a recent NC500 visit and realise how important this feature is.
If you are using iPhone you can tap the 1080P in mastershots and change it to 4K ....for some reason it only works if you have an iPhone.
I wonder if we can walk around during mastershots??
No unfortunately not, because the ActiveTrack will lose you after it flies a certain distance away, therefor sir instead marks a home point after you start the shot.
Are you having similar issues as other users with the Smart Controller?

I'm seeing the props in the video issue enough to wonder if the camera gimbal is turning to the left or right at times for some inexplicable reason only the code writers understand. The Air 2 can do that when you want it to. This may simply be a software/firmware update fix.
I do mention this in the review, that it's because of high winds.
Why would it be limited to 1080??
I tried this feature and received an error saying something about the route would exceed the established max height. Any one else experience this?
Check your 'Maximum Altitude' setting in the 'Settings' menu and increase it slightly, but NOT beyond the legal altitude for your country.
@@Droning-ON mines is set to 393 and legal height is 400. I still get this error out in the open.

Props are visible because in some scenarios the gimbal is rotating the camera module.
The best mastershots are the manual shots that you do but okay it's a good new feature for the air2s.

Is it just me or do you guys notice that Dlog doesn’t work in mastershots ?
I haven't tested that, but it's a shame if that's the case. It's most likely due to the case that MasterShots are automatically edited by the software, shooting in DLOG would require that app to apply a LUT, which requires more processing power etc.
Surely there's a way to run it on 4k otherwise this function is completely useless to me! Its so ugly in 1080p!!

Hi Ash Well I just seen the killer of this Drone. I don't know why the manufacturers of Camera Drones can't keep the props out of the video. Other than that I want one.
I think it may have been the higher winds. I've seen the props in another video doing MasterShots and it was during the same circle shot. I've also seen several other videos with no props in frame.
Exactly, I do mention this in the review, that it's because of the wind and the drone having to otich more than usual.

Air2S is over price, A lot of limitation of features to maximized 1" larger sensor and 5.4k resolution. Less flight time than older Air 2. Much better to wait Mavic 3 To experience larger 1" sensor with 5.4k resolution for appropriate price. Useless with Have much range 12KM with less flight time than older model and 5.4k new drone adding new Mastershots only available in 1080p.

Camera quality looks no different from the previous version.
This is because it's MasterShots and therefore limited to 1080p sadly.

Why are the birds so noisy? Well that's easy. They see the drone as a threat or predator partly because it's unfamiliar to them and partly because it hovers just like some birds of prey do.

Don't buy into the hype. These units are terrible. They are buggy, latency issues with the video feed, signal related issues are 2000 ft plain of sight no objects nor other radios, unable to charge your phone (slow charging only), the tracking software loses sight in plain sight, files get corrupted 😉, they aren't shielded from EMF/EMI, the software app is buggy, you will get jitter in transmission and on the recording file, these are cheap Chinese toys not drones. Sorry DJI, you lost the game and feel. Let someone else start the trend.
