Bruh! petrified petroleum is awesome! Feed your drills and smelters with it and it will make them run faster. I spent the time and put one on every single thing on my island that previously used a coal totem. Everything is running faster now.
the petrifier is really slow and it if you have huge auto farms like me the petrifiers are never gonna give enough fuel and how are you gonna not have pipes or conveyors everywhere
@@yjmgc You have to balance everything. Run 3 petroleum refineries per oil deposit. After each refinery add a tank and feed the oil pump and refinery with petrified petroleum to speed up oil and petroleum production. From there you run pipes to all your farms. For stuff like red bronze farms and the drills you can use one petrified petroleum maker and place a randomizer after it to split half to the drill and half to the smelter. It takes a few mins for it to get ahead but just like coal in a smelter after a few mins it will have more petrified petroleum sitting in it ready to go than it will ever need to run. The trick os to add the storage tank. Even though DV said you don’t need them you do if you want things to kick off instantly everywhere without any coal totems and self sustain itself. I have massive farms setup with zero coal totems. It can be done, just takes time to get everything balanced and organized with the pipes.

@@johnrungs You bet. Oh and as far as conveyers and I put output chests. Try not to use them. Drop everything with steps under your island. You can drop all 4 ore deposits of gold and copper with steps into one red bronze refinery. The steps are so much faster and don’t have any of the glitch issues with chests letting stuff drop out the bottom or conveyers letting things get hung up.

Jesse the petrifier is useful because the petrified thing that it produces (basically yellow coal) is faster than coal so it means that you can make steel Mills faster.
Jesse you do know that petrified petroleum lasts longer and makes it smelt faster than coal? So that machine is worth it lol

A pump jack pumps 1 unit of oil every 5 seconds on a normal node, an oil refinery takes 15 seconds to process 1 unit of oil, so you would need 3 oil refineries to maximize a regular oil node, for an oil node that you bought, it’s 3.3x the ratio

Also if you built the oil and petrol tanks earlier before buying the deed you could've got an natural deposit earlier

I made a petrifier then made the oil fuel itself using no totems (but I need totems for the stuff that is far) only the pumpjack is refueling itself
You dont even need the tanks lol It basically just shows you a gas gauge for machines
You get two permanent oil spots and 2 deeds that only last for a short time.

Jesse you need to have workbench tier 3 placed down before another copper resource can spawn
jesse you have to have the t4 workbench down to get oil deposits to spawn and the t3 workbench to spawn gold and copper deposits

Hey Jesse, ever have the problem with NO oil spawning when you build a Tier 4 workbench? When I try to use a deed for anything else, it works (I had to make more room, which I did again after testing deeds), but have built four Tier 4 WBs and no freakin oil. :( :( :( Any thoughts?

Once the petroleum tanks are full, the oil will start filling up because the converter doesn’t know where to pipe the petroleum therefore jamming the oil converter.
