    Great review!
I have a textured 25 lb Yes4All Dynamic Black slam ball although I like the weight & ball the texture is a little abrasive when aggressively handling. I think it would be better to buy the smooth texture for 25 lb (or lighter) or whatever weight you do for most exercises as it’s easier to handle and for heavy slam balls (25 lbs or heavier) you should get the textured slam balls to help with the grip of lifting. But I agree with this review, if you only want one or best overall texture then the textured slam balls would be best. Slam balls are great for home gyms or outdoor workouts!

Good morning. Checking in. I agree if I was buying, I would want the textured medicine ball. You always have treads to hold onto to get an accurate throw. The last two you showed looked like Magic 8 Balls.

Nice review! I am quite happy with my 3 slam balls: 8, 15 and 30 lb. The smallest one could have a better texture since I am often grabbing it with one hand. I just posted a short video with these balls in my backyard: more experimentation with camera angles than actual workout ...

    Hi, enjoyed the video.
If someone just wants one weight of ball, or maybe two, what do you recommend?
(Male, average fitness and strength. 135lbs, 5'9". Can do about thirty proper pushups. About fourteen, maybe seventeen chinups. Just to give some idea.)
Don't want something too light, because it wouldn't build strength well.
Don't want something too heavy, though, either.
Someone online recommended being conservative - going lighter than you think. He went with 40lbs, and wished he had gone lighter. He seemed to be a big guy, but I don't know his strength level.
I'll be going with the type of textured ball you recommend at the end.
Don't know which single weight or two weights to choose, though.
I especially want to do a lot of floor slams with it.
I don't have access to any to try out, and haven't used them before.

Seeing if I should get the Trx textured slam ball or yes4all at 10 lbs. I keep seeing in some of the reviews on Amazon that the yes4all has sand shifting and moving, which affects its performance in an annoying way. • @NoFate247
