Filipina wives are so organize. They can take care of everything like cleaning, doing the laundry and cook food for the family. You are so lucky for having a Filipina wife.Common trait of a Filipina ia being submissive to their husband, kindhearted and family oriented.
Not always I am a Filipina but I have my moods too and lazy times. We do care for our kids though, there are a lot of Filipino movies about kids becoming bad because of bad parenting which make us Filipinas behave when it comes to our kids. Saying that we are submissive to our husbands is not true all the time, there are plenty of tiger Filipinas out there but we definitely are very religious and prayerful.
Lol ok if you say!
I will say they do make effort 👌
I just must have gotten the not as "organized and submissive " one ?
Im a filipina wife and true about submissive, organize and kind hearted.. loving :) God bless you all🧡
@@sandan778 The tiger ones can stay single. That's what we Americans are trying to get away from 😎
@@frankellis9627 heck yea!
I was laughing 😁when you said you will eat that "noisy"rooster don't worry my friend since you choose to live here you'll get used to it in the long run!😄😉
Love seeing the house come together! I’m happy you’re posting lots again. Have a good day!
Thank you, you too my friend
Hi my name is Ray Custodio and I live Southern California. I am so impressed in all the things that you said about your house and I extremely interested in learning those ideas from you once I go back there in the Philippines 🇵🇭. Hopefully I will be there by the end of this year 2022 to take care of my businesses. I hope that I could meet you and your wife in person. Posted from Los Angeles, California🇺🇲
Really nice job putting your place together! It looks beautiful...Enjoy... 👍😎👍
Taking what is best in the US and what is outstanding in the Philippines is almost always the best choice. I guess as long as we are ok with missing out on the details then we should be content enough to live an awesome life👍🎉
Keep up the great work good sir.
I can't wait for one of your live broadcasts...
Probably it's a simple house by American standards but it's certainly a grand abode by Philippine standards. It will look more so once it is finished.
My only comment is that the regular pattern of the floor tiles laid out uniformly is making the faux marble more faux looking. Otherwise, everything is looking awesome and very well thought and planned. Maybe you should set up a construction firm specializing in building houses for expats. Congrats and more power!!
Welcome back and thanks for the update! We must have gotten back to the Philippines around the same time! I actually was the first wave of foreigners on 10 February and was happily married only 5 weeks later on 20 March. Your house and everything is looking good. Wish you and everyone a safe and wonderful year. Semper Fi and God bless brother!
Nice! Good for you! Landed March 23rd and had the tickets for couple months. Got REAL lucky avoiding quarantine! Semper Fi brother
@@ItsMe_Philippines perfect you all stay safe and enjoy your house build and the many projects ahead. Get those chicken egg laying hens in there so can enjoy your morning coffee with eggs.
Just started watching your videos! This is awesome! I'd hire you to help me build a 🏠..lol. It sounds more and more appealing to retire in the PI!
Your house is nice. I like the floor looks clean. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the life in the Philippines. 🇵🇭 👍🏻

House is amazing !!! Great job with the design !!! The workers did awesome work btw !!!
Thank you and wee are both very happy with it!
Man your house is Magnificent! Looks great. You pay close attention to detail on everything that involves you.
Thank you!
Far more advanced and expensive from what we have. We don't have dryer, solar, security lights or security system, chicken coop, generator....No need in my, I guess, minimalistic mind for such added expenses. That being said, we spend our money on real estate investments here in the Philippines instead. Thanks for another excellent video.
First time waiting your video and enjoy your experience
So nice of you
Very interested to learn about your solar setup. And thanks for the great attitude to life.
The glass is half full
Very impressive knowledge of so many aspects of buildings from bricks ,roofing,to electricity/solar , well organised thoughtful planning, good luck to u and your family

Just found your amazing channel today while cooking. You have a beautiful and spacious house plan/ layout. I have 2 American military uncles who decided to live in the Philippines and built their beautiful houses there. One in the city, the other one in the Ptovince. Both of them, they are actually best friends love our country Philippines. And they have expat neighbors as well. They have beautiful children.

The place looks amazing, Cory. You remind me of another vlogger in the Philippines. His name is Gio. You guys resemble each other. In fact you could be brothers 🤠
Gave you a thumbs up for the house comment but not the Gio comment lol

If you’re strongly considering moving to the Philippines, binabati kita (congratulations)!
This beautiful, complex, almost uniformly friendly nation is home to dozens of cultures, thousands of islands, and more than 100 million people.
With beautiful beaches, wonderful wildlife, and a fantastic flair for food, you’ll always have a new area of life in the Philippines to explore.

Good job !
Thank you!
Nice
Hey you have a really nice place there and in the Philippine! I’m from New Brunswick Canada 🇨🇦
It’s beautiful up there but very cold this time of year!
Its a bid house dear and beautiful
When I built our house in Solano we couldn't get a 200 Amp meter ..they only let businesses get them so they gave us a 100 Amp that's really about 86 Amps ..I put an ac in with a 2 and a half motor and I ran it 24 / 7 and my first electric bill was 19,000 pesos so I learned to put 2 meters in .
Nice house
Thank you
Very nice house. New Subscriber from Manila Philippines.
Thanks for subbing!
We sent two at a time to Cebu, but one got held up. We emailed LBC and they said that it was possible the boxes were in different containers when being loaded for shipping. The second one showed up a couple weeks after the first.
We were actually missing one on the last shipment that my wife knew about and forgot to tell me. So far they have been great to deal with.
I can't believe you are gonna redo the kitchen tiles again. You must really love your Filipena.
Yes I do really love her but I didn’t say I was happy about this idea 😂
With all due respect…your wife’s attitude regarding the kitchen tiles and placement of the island is one that mirrors a little child testing the boundaries of your limits in making her happy no matter the cost or work needed.
@@forestgreensmile we have extra tile and the day of labor came to $9. So I did not look at it that way.
The metal for the bottom five feet is likely for predators like Mongoose or foxes. They often dig under fences to get to chickens
It helped us when we had pigs and goats in there as well
I agree with your wife. Move it back to next tile
Beautiful ending... o.O
Thank you!
This is the way
An absolutely jealous of u , I wish I was there ,u have done great 👌
Thank you my friend I always appreciate your positive comments!
I seen your first video about the ice, I decided to join your channel
Thank you. More videos to come and thanks for the sub
New Subscriber. Just was looking at your thumbnail photo. Appears as though you did burnished concrete floors scored to give a tile effect?
Concrete floors when finished properly are very nice and economical. Add area rugs wherever desired to soften and define rooms. Easy to maintain and great in kitchens and baths with no worries if wet or damp. Wet mop every couple of weeks, and dust mop couple times a week in between to keep them looking great.
Thank you for subscribing. That is actually my bedroom second floor, which is hardwood with an Apoxsee over it. Looking at the picture I can see why you would think it was cement.
@@ItsMe_Philippines Ah! Gotcha. Looks like glass. Nice work!
@@chasvonplatten1298 thank you!
Most appliance stores like SM Appliance Center sell front-loading washer-drier (combi) and stand-alone washer and drier (also front-loading).
You are correct but I am not a fan of those options.
@@ItsMe_Philippines just get the highend LG where the bigger washer sits atop the smaller washer. Costs 75k pesos or thereabouts
You are on top of a lot more things than 99.9% of everyone from what I’ve seen. I like your Carrier mini splits that’s what I have in my pool room here in the states. Put a video together to explain the ponds with the chickens in there if you get time. That’s the only thing I don’t understand ..combining the two in one space.
I will do that and most of their sleeping will be on top of the water. That allows most of the chicken poop to drop in the water which is actually a very good source of fish food.
Having a lot of chickens myself. If you’re not trying to reproduce and you just want laying hens skip the rooster. They lay better without one. Sounds like that other one was already getting on your nerves.
@@ItsMe_Philippines Wow, i never knew that. Chickens like the water?
IT IS MORE FUN TO LIVE IN THE PHILIPPINES
What type of roofing material did you use and did you do anything in particular to keep the house cooler? Thanks in advance for your show
We did the same, built our home 2013-2015, 12ft high foundation (floods) 😂 3 floors, 2 kitchens, 5 bathrooms, storage - $70K best investment we’ve ever made. Love the Philippines 💞 Kawit, Cavite 😅
That’s great to hear, love seeing all the positive success stories
5 bathrooms? How many bedrooms?
Here in Spain, a washing machine has built-in dryer....but what does a household need a dryer for when you get sunshine to dry clothes ?
With this humidity it takes WAY to long to dry and it also rains daily here.
It's quiet a costly house sir actually;any average Filipino earners here would have to work hard in making such accomplishment... such a beautiful house though 👍👏🙏
For security you should put a lot of cctv
I apologize because I must not have seen your video mentioning Solar. When we build in Lubang we will have Solar. You’re right that in this climate not utilizing Solar and maybe Wind would be foolish. I’m confused because you mentioned your water pump, will it be hooked to your Solar System as well? Please don’t keep apologizing for not having everything buttoned up. You’re here now so relax a bit. When I left NYC for Atlanta it took me a while to slow down and then coming here was another adjustment period.
Yes you’re absolutely right. Yes the house will be run off of solar shortly. I will definitely do videos on the installation and how it’s operating afterwards. Now as far as the water pump goes. I have found a few albums that are DC and not AC so they will runoff of solar panels during the day and fill up the tank. I believe that may be a better way to go but I will have more information after at least 90 days converted.
Mate, house looks good, coming along pretty well. Just wondering if you hired a contractor to build the house. You are very detailed, smart, and well organized planner.
Yes we had an onsite foreman to oversee the large parts of the house and thank you
I remember watching the videos of the house being built. I bet you're happy with your decision of that extra rebar as reinforcement. Considering the typhoon that happened in December
@@julianotero2715 we lost two gutters and that’s it. Was VERY happy with the extra investments we made.
Happy Wife Happy Man lol Looking Good
You got that right!
Do you get Brownouts often? With net metering you can't use your system when the grid goes out due to safety reasons for the workers working on the the lines. That's my understanding anyway. Good progress on the house!
Actually not very often. Either way we have a second breaker box designated to the generator for when it does happen.
Excellent video. My wife and I are also building in the Philippines (we are halfway finished) and we will retire there in December. You touched on everything I was most concerned about. Security, generators, solar panel system, and contingency plans. My wife, just like yours, is concerned about other things. 🤨 Anyway, still debating whether to ship balikbayan boxes from New York or just buy from Lazada ph just to save on time and shipping charges. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching and let me know if you have any questions. I plan on doing an entire video just on security/safety. I’m not going to do a video on the solar until after installed and I’m happy with it. I don’t want to promote a company before they’re done in case anything fails lol
Hey partner, me too, Where are you at? I'm in Mindanao area.
@Lonely Wolf where are you building ? I’m in the process on looking for my own place , either build or buy and remodel. I’m following people building in the Phil and getting ideas .
I have a brother in the bay area who sends iodized salt, sponges, Irish spring soaps, etc., 🙄😅just send cash please! 😂 although I'm glad I got too see kitsch from US 🇺🇸 like said salt and it's carton top up container. Never knew such a thing existed. Or those scented bathroom plastic roll bags. Even the plastic hangers are on another level
@@miaya3898 maybe there are other things that came with it . I have relatives that gets used clothes from my mom before and they were very appreciative . When I go home , I bring my old clothes and leave it behind the hotels or Airbnb and I leave a note, throw or give away . I don’t bring home my laundry home.
Did you get a voltage regulator yet for all the motors/ appliances?
Ahhh Filipina women, can't live without them and can't.. I feel sorry about your wife that she have to live in a simple house but probably the biggest and nicest house in town. The house looks good, man... Nice paint job.
Thank you very much for the couple months I really you appreciate it. We have extra tile and labor is very cheap around here so I just pick on her but it’s fine.
Where did you bought your floor tiles?
Look good and congrats
Citi Hardware I believe.
Thank you very much for the information. Did you ever check into shipping household items via container? I have things like washer/dryer that I spent good money on that I’d like to keep. I’m wondering if getting other items here in the U.S. to bypass the hassle in the Philippines. Again great presentation and thank you.
You could get shipping codes from LBC on those items, but I personally only ship things over that I could fit in a box. If they’re valuable, they’re probably still worth it as your options are limited over here.
Regarding solar and generators. I’m looking on the possibility of buying Tesla batteries from junkyards . Tesla batteries should be able to hold lots of charges and cost from junkyards should be reasonable.
Idea was Tesla a lot and have not found a good reliable source for used batteries. If you’re able to find one I’ll let me know!
@@ItsMe_Philippines spoke to someone who rides a Mustang with a Tesla running gear and battery. This guy fabricates his Trikes but this is his 1st electric vehicle . He paid $20k for the motors and battery + other stuffs he needed for conversion . Tesla is so popular that I think junks will be readily available and batteries might actually be cheaper.
Hi, congrats. house is coming along. Can you elaborate on how you set up the ring doorbell. I didn’t think it would be possible to do it there. Debating to buy one and bring it with me.
Yes, I was going to do a video Justin security over here. Would do it along with that so I’m not doing 10 individual videos.
@@ItsMe_Philippines sure thing. Thanks
