@Thomas Van Der Plas. The first you hear is a B-flat Clarinet. The second is a tin flute (a.k.a. 'tin whistle') traditional in Irish music. I don't know its proper name. The third is an Alto Flute, which is pitched lower than a standard "orchestral" flute. If you stand the two flutes side by side, the alto flute is quite a bit longer. I have clarinets and both a standard and an alto flute - the sound of the alto flute is like velvet. I love playing it. Interesting bit of musical trivia: If you listen to the late Henry Mancini's original theme tune for the 1964 movie "The Pink Panther, the "lead" or melodic line at the beginning is played by FOUR alto flutes (sometimes five, if you can find that many players who have 'em) in unison, i.e. all playing the same notes. It's a gorgeous sound.
