@@GoProTipsWhat happened to the GoPro player meanwhile? I made a "one time payment" for it last year. And now stabilization doesn't work unless I buy a GoPro Subscription. Not fair. It was promised as a one time payment. Paid 100 USD and was able to use it for only 1 year!

It's so frustrating that the Automatic Edits feature ignores manually added HiLights. When I explicitly said this moment was important during filming, why are you leaving it out? Devs, please make Automatic Edits incorporate all the user-added HiLights!

Can you import songs from iTunes library
I do recording in 8:7 HighResolution, I then I want produce a 16:9 Video. Reframing is possible but ich can not zoom in or move into the 8:7 Frame. That a basic Feature,, how can I do that ?
You can reframe your video by clicking on the "Frame" function in the editing screen. 👍
@@GoProTips This is not possible. You only can change the ratio, but it will always automatically frame the clip/image at the center of the original.

It's so frustrating and outrageous that the desktop version for Windows didn't come out first. Such a widespread operating system is widowed by an application for GoPro cameras. It's a shame for this company.
Do I need a subscription for this? I only have the Quik subscription to use all editing features on my iPhone.

Unfortunately there's no simple way to export a video you make out of a series of clips. Yeah, it's easy to add music and text and transitions but if you can't get it out of the Quik software and onto a website/Instagram/FB/wherever then it's pretty useless innit?

I'm not able to export my edit footages from Gopro Quik mobile to any resolution 4K or 1080P, everytime the app still running eternal or crash on 60%.
I tried create a share link of the my edit to download and not working, when I click in create a share link appears the quality export in the same time.
Please solve this issues!

One thing I hate about it, is that the App immediately tries to become default viewer for MP4. Not cool! Made me feel like deleting it off my Mac!

Cant get GoPro app on my desktop macBook Pro running Big Sur 11.7.10. Tried upgrading to Ventura 13.0 but will not upload or upgrade. Am I wasting my time?

app is not loading media files from cloud, not accurate showing time and date, not possible to edit GoPro footage from local storage , not possible to add own music files, basically app is useless .
Nothing about hypersmooth pro and why it’s double the price

Only if using a Premium Filter will you be unable to save your video until you subscribe to Premium or Premium+.

MAX is not supported. Still have to remove SD card from the camera and use a card reader and then the Quik app still only lets you import the full 360 file. No way to import cuts directly from the Quik app. I guess I'll be sticking with my old workflow. Very disappointing.

@@GoProTipsI didn't created a case because it's not a bug. It's just a missing feature. The Quik software itself just says that the MAX isn't supported when I plug it in via USB. It says that I have to copy the files to my computer by another method before I can import to Quik.
At this time, if you are using MAX, you will need to use an SD card + card reader to preview + transfer files.

Really? And the long forgotten Windows version that activate Gps info only on the GoPro 7black? That sometime crash is now been upgrade to windows 10 or 11? If thats a YES, i am all for it! Years waiting...Years to use my gps info on antything higher then the 7black... Not using a smartphone to download 4gb files... Never! :) WAIT... its a paid subscrition option? Dam...what is wrong with world today...we pay 500€ for a thing that is useless with paying more? (Gps info on video) Well customers usually follow the rule: never again...if thats the case for me. Or just make a firmware that writes that on the fly on video so no more softwares to use and moving 4gb files to do a simple job. Is that so hard or impossible nowdays?
you are correct. when GoPro purchased the company that made the phone app, to which I had lifetime subscription (which I lost) they stopped developing anything for PC and rebranded it as Quik. Now the PC version is coming out slooow....

File > Extract Frame
Once you're in Edit mode, you can either File > Extract Current Frame or click the Frame icon on the top right of the screen.

always crashing after some edits after memory ran over… nice video, but my experience is completely different… so sad after waiting so long for it

also when I try to add videos to the edit it opens up a window with all my media from the GoPro plus cloud without any possibility to filter to specific dates or files. and it's really slow to import. Quite counter intuitive so far.

You mean, how it doesn't work. Unable to preview media. Useless,, even after consulting help desk. Two weeks, no help whatsoever. If you are trying to decide between the DJI or the GoPro, I'd go for the DJI now. GoPro is going the way of the Kodak.
