  • What does bursitis in the hip feel like? Physical therapist Christine Koth, inventor of the Hip Hook, specializes in muscles tension in the low back and hips. She explains about bursa, what causes pain, and which muscles to release to relieve hip bursitis pain. www.alethaheal...

    Created by a physical therapist, the Hip Hook is the world’s first tool designed for psoas release AND iliacus release. Just a few minutes a day with the Hip Hook can provide long-term pain relief to the lower back, hips, tailbone, knees, and feet. Tightness in the iliacus and psoas is directly connected to many different kinds of pain throughout the body because its tightness rotates the pelvis and twists the body out of alignment.

    Thank you. Theres a lot of videos out there talking about what it is and how to treat it, but not a lot talk about what it feels like and how to identify it as the patient

    Great now I have a name for another pain in my "arse" lolo hip. Been using the hip hook for about 1 1/2 months and notice things like pain is shifting & my hip is opening up. Still can't lay on the ball to release the trocanto fasiaitis muscle (the one muscle that you love to say :). not only can't I spell it let alone pronounce it. :) The benefit I am experiencing is I'm able to walk and in doing so I've lost about 12lbs in conjunction w/Keto. This has been the best product I've ever purchased for my hip & low back issues (L5 S1 injury),m and I have spend thousands on Chiropractic care. Thank you ;)

      Haha, you can just call the tensor fascia latae muscle the TFL for short if that makes it easier on you. ;)
      That's so great that you've been feeling some positive changes in the way your hip and back are feeling, allowing you to get back to walking more!

    My alignment has been great for 5 weeks straight after years. Worked out perfect so could focus on neck. But 3 days of tense family emergency has my lower half changing. Feet trying to point in again. I have both of those, I’m praying my hip hook arrives sooner than the email I just received that says it’s pushed back another month.

    Thank you. I think you have helped me identify some of my pain. I actually have both types. Hip pain is a complicated thing since any given person may have two or more issues simultaneously. I did a lot of hip flexor stretching and strengthening work over the past few years to rule everything out and this is all that remains, probably exacerbated by the stretching.

    • @AlethaHealth
      @AlethaHealth  Před rokem +1

      You're welcome! Have you ever had tension in your hip flexors released? This is something totally different than stretching or strengthening. There may be tension in your iliacus and psoas that is continuing to compress the bursae in your hip and that inflammation lingers. This tension could be released by a practitioner or by using the Hip Hook.

      @@AlethaHealth I have not. I am open to suggestions!

    • @AlethaHealth

      @@gravestonemyth various practitioners (like a physical therapist or massage therapist) may be able to help you with releasing tension in your hip flexors, but there is a possibility that this may need to be a more consistent treatment at first to help resolve the issue.
      Our founder (a physical therapist herself) created a tool called a Hip Hook that allows you to release your own psoas and iliacus muscles by yourself anytime you want. The tool replicates the angles and pressure that your therapist would use to get into those muscles and you can use it as often as you'd like.

    my mother has a burning and cutting feeling in her hip. The MRI shows nothing, but the pain is there, every time she moves it's a burning

    • @AlethaHealth
      @AlethaHealth  Před rokem +1

      That's great the MRI shows nothing structurally wrong with the hip. Sometimes this kind of pain may be caused from tension in the muscles surrounding the hip, which causes inflammation around the joint. Releasing muscles like the psoas, iliacus, piriformis, and even the TFL or glute medius can be a huge help.

      We're glad to hear that this video helped a bit. We'd encourage you to be assessed by a physical therapist to get to the root cause of your issue.
      If tension in your hip flexors and other muscles around your hips is contributing to the pain, then some of our products may help you out.

      I understand the severity of the pain I’ve had a disc bulge in my L4 /L5 for nearly 4 years with that I also have 3 joint atherosis near the disc bulge . Did you have any treatment? My docs won’t give me surgery I am not keen on the shot as it only give temporary relief. Others have told me the pain comes back worse .

    How can I release the less common bursitis in psoas/illiacus? I am a bus driver and have had extreme pain in the front groin area just as you described. It’s been almost a year. Thank you

    • @AlethaHealth
      @AlethaHealth  Před rokem +1

      The bursitis is developing from the increased friction inside of the hip joint and rubbing the surrounding bursa in the wrong way. This is an alignment issue that is commonly caused from tight hip flexors closing off the joint space between the pelvis and hip.
      The best way to release this would be using a tool like our Hip Hook, or by going to a practitioner who can release it for you.
      Does this help?
