good explanation of Hagerstown, I will say this its takes longer than 1 hour to get to DC, if you are commuting to work, that traffic is a nightmare especially if it rains.
That traffic will get you in rush hour. No doubt about that. Itâs hard to avoid it in the DMV.

Ive been in Hagerstown maryland living since the 70S. In the past 2 years its worse than its ever been. With drugs and crime. 3 stabbings just last week only 1 block from the city Square on Franklin street. You cant go anywhere downtown without seeing junkies everywhere and being panhandled constantly. Not a good idea to move here unless you can afford a home in a good partvof town like Fountainhead area or Blavkrock estates.
Con: high crime rate.
I lived in Hagerstown for 2years...back in 2009 it's very boring and I experienced racism deep. Alot of drugs and nothing to do

It's the ghetto place. Too crowded in such place which means trouble on the streets. People overdoing and drug abuse. Valley Properties isn't a place to rent from either. 800.00 over 1300.
Stay away and move to fresh clean air.
