Guys we are at 500+ subscribers. This is awesome and cool knowing people care and want to hear me talk about random Truck stuff and hotshoting. Thanks guys.
I've always wondered what my exhaust brake would sound like with a straight pipe. Wasn't able to find anything on you tube, so thank you for making this video.
happy new year everyone!! thanks for the uploads,i really appreciate it! my cousin is a hotshot trucker but he does locally only. we have a lot of amish in the area, so he is quite busy! he likes dodges as well! dont get me wrong, im not mechanically inclined, but he has one truck that is extremely awesome to drive. 2003 dodge longbed single wheel manual. it is low geared so it is so smooth to shift. But u taught me how to look for the transmissions! thanks
Dhane Friedman Thank you for your support. I myself would of bought a g56 if I didn't have to do some much in town driving. I do miss my old truck that had a nv5600. love them manual transmissions
I just replaced my exhaust on my 2006 with a Gale banks 4 inch cat back I have to keep the cats since I have to do an EPA test every two years. But it gave me 1 to 2 MPG increase. I am running about 18 in town now, and have gotten 25 on the HWY. I plan on doing a tune soon too. Not bad for a 5.9 Cummins.
Can you tell me the location in your exhaust you placed your resonator? I understand it changes the sound/drone depending on how close to the down pipe it's installed. Great lookin truck BTW!
Love the vids bud. What tuning did you go with to enable the deletes? Also- do you have a transmission tune? Any recommendations on the tuning you used?
What size & brand style wheels & tires you got on these bad ass truck man? I am not a truck guy my self , but I do use one to work day in day out, but you just made me look at these rams in a diferent kool way.
@PDDieselPower That little rattle just as your accelerating, is that normal? My engine makes the same noise on my 2016. Exact same mods as yours. Curious if its timing rattle or the injection noise. Could also be the pre ignition. What do you think?
Your truck is awesome. Sounds great and looks awesome. I like the 5" straight pipe personally, we put one on my brother's 11 and it sounds awesome loaded down. You seem to know a lot about the newer Ram trucks. You've talked about the Aisin and Chrysler transmission, but you have mentioned the manual yet. Do you have any experience with them?.
ih1206 Thank you. but ya the g56 Mercedes-Benz transmission are not bad. but they have fairly weak stock clutches. as far as transmission goes. They are pretty good. They can't handle the high hp like the nv5600 could but that's high numbers. For avg joe they are plenty. I would say 600hp+ are nv5600 territory. Hope I helped.
AJ Pataialii I don't own a mega cab. So I couldn't answer from personal experience. But I would say there is a difference because the longer wheel base in the truck the smoother ride you get in theory. Thats why you have stretched frame semi trucks. because it looks cool and rides smoother. Hope I helped.
That really is a awesome looking truck. Its put thoughts in my mind to get a diesel truck for myself. What do you think about the new 17 Fords. They(ford) look very well built for towing and if one deleted the emission it might be a awesome truck for business
Dan Krueger I have zero experience with those new fords. Therefore can't say much as far as reliability. Side not there is a really good reason why all the semi trucks are inline 6 engines. only inline 6 is the 6.7 cummins. There you have it as far as hard core towing and which engine would be best. Now as looks, Ford has got that one good.
this video answered my question about smoking. in my line of work there can be no smoke unless later in the day I want to see some. the noise is very doable which is a good thing. you mentioned that the noise while pulling a 5th wheel is unbearable. what do you think might help with that noise?
EnlightMent the noise is really bad when it was 100 percent 5inch stright. since I've added a little resonator that helped alot. so run a muffler or resonator and you'll be good
Jordan Notch I don't recall any annoying drone from mine. unless I went past 2k rpm and then it got ungodly really quick. but ya, I would say probably 70 percent it should take care of it. but thats a good guess. Nothing for sure
Being that you run state to state in that truck, do the DOT hassle you about the straight pipe? I'm about to start making runs to California from Texas and I don't want to spend the money deleting and tuning just to get pulled over with huge fines.
Matt McPherson I try to keep out of cali. and if Texas to cali is all you'll be doing then might want to talk to someone that has done these deletes so they can help you in person and show you so that you can't tell it's deleted. unlike mine. Hope this helps.
ok, that the one with the small switch with 3 or 4 positions ? The programing to me seems like it will be a pain in the jazz, the removal of steel is a breeze. I see refi live, ryan. /? what the hell. Thanks man....just a caveman with a modern toy.
Looking to get myself a 2017 ram 3500 laramie CC/LB srw, cummins, With the Aisin, But probably wont be getting it until the summer, Do you have any 2017s yet? If so how do you like them? Newer subscriber, But I've already seen alot of your videos, Great channel, Its very helpful Thank you for all your uploads and look forward to more.
corey wright I don't yet own a 2017 but they seem to be the same as previous year. And I do own a 2016 nothing bad or negative about them. So knowing that. You got nothing to fear. That aisin will do you well and that engine will do you well to. So i would go right for it once time comes.
I actually have another question for you, do you find any difference in the ride quality from the 2500s to the 3500s? a 2500 would do me for most my needs but I wanted the 3500 for the Asin tranny, you think its worth it to get the 3500 for that reason alone?
With all the miles you drive, have you ever regretted getting a more aggressive tire than say the Nitto Dura Grappler highway tire or other more road tire re mileage, noise or wear? I had the Dura Grappler, but your tires look better tread-wise.
DiMariaLawGroup originally when these wheels were purchased I got the nitto Mt. Great tires but killed my mpg. So I took them off and went with Toyo at2. besides mpg the mts were great tires. I was at 13-14mpg highway and 19-20mpg toyo. No joke. No bs.
Glocknade honestly I forgot exact name and sizes. but I belieave wheels called fuel maverick wire brushed 20s by 10 or 12 2pc. 295 60 20 toyo at2 tires.
don't be taking that sweet truck through car wash it scratches it all up I got the same truck black on black 2016 took it a couple of times to the carwash now I got scratches everywhere

Greg Stoller thank you. Blessings to you and have a mighty fine weekend
love your truck man. I'm working with a half ton Chevy currently running hot shot loads out of Houston, TX. Cummins will definitely be my next rig.
I've always wondered what my exhaust brake would sound like with a straight pipe. Wasn't able to find anything on you tube, so thank you for making this video.
Jordan Rourke. glad I can help :)
PD Diesel Power have.you had issue'd with the as69rc (aisin)

Badass rig man
how much more did you mpg did you get ever since you tuned ur truck and how much more mpg since you did the straight pipe?
awesome truck
Hey bud, what intake horn you running ? Oh I agree PLUG them in when ya can .
Your truck is awesome. Sounds great and looks awesome. I like the 5" straight pipe personally, we put one on my brother's 11 and it sounds awesome loaded down.

What's your input on 6ft bed vs 8ft
put a 8 inch tip on it love your videos
Thinking about buying a 2014 ram 3500 with about 170k miles. Any advice on what to look for? Is it worth it?
Are you running stock tune with deletes?
Where did you get you’re mud flaps
Beautiful RAM CUMMINS. Is there a difference towing with long bed crew cab to the mega cab short bed?
AJ Pataialii I don't own a mega cab. So I couldn't answer from personal experience. But I would say there is a difference because the longer wheel base in the truck the smoother ride you get in theory. Very nice truck you have there! Is that theHO Cummins?
What offset are you running?
Nice video

PD Diesel Power 4 in out with a resonator and a 5 inch tip. sounds good to me thanks for the quick reply. two thumbs up
EnlightMent no problem. sounds like you figured out the perfect setup
You should show wut you tow
On my 2014 cruising 60mph the drone with the 5" is bad, you think the resonator will get rid of that drone?
Jordan Notch I don't recall any annoying drone from mine. unless I went past 2k rpm and then it got ungodly really quick. but ya, I would say probably 70 percent it should take care of it. but thats a good guess. Nothing for sure

corey wright I'll try my best.
corey wright if you don't haul often go with a 2500 Cummins with coil rear Springs in the rear. The ride is alot smoother. 3500s are rough rides.
Spray under the truck with black star rust protector and fluid film inside doors and rockers take out tail lights two screws spray inside bed
