What’s wrong with Haiti
Very dangerous, kidnapping etc. not a recommended place by the USA. Private island owned by RCCL.
Beautiful country where you were made for the tourists. Too bad there is so much unrest there to be able to travel freely.

Very interesting to see what the "resort" side is like. We sponsor a child in Haiti and have for a few years. I know the tourism helps the country. It would just be hard for me to know I was that close and not to visit the poorer section. So happy to see the beauty that exists there though.

Being your first cruise 🛳. I would go to a travel agent. Alot of them work commission free.

This past summer we stayed in Port Aransas Texas and my daughter had a hermet crab climb into her toe. The Life guard had me pull it out because it's considered surgery if they do it. You never know what you might bump into in the Ocean. You guys are living the best life.

@@Chillaxing113 We were in the Ocean walking on the sand and she stepped on one and maybe the shell cut her toe. I helped her out of the water back to shore where the Lifeguards were waiting. I think everyone though Jaws had bit her. The Lifeguards sat her down and poured water on her foot and we pulled it put of her toe. She went right back into the water. I wish I had a pic. We did take pics of Hermet Crabs we were picking up off the sand. There were tons.

I was at Labadee once but I was not there on a cruise. I was there while on a missions trip to Haiti. It sure is beautiful there. I swam in the water and it was very warm and the water was so blue and the sand white. I am glad thatvyou had a good time. Thsnks for sharing your adventure with us.

Fun fact it’s impossible to have a bad day in the Caribbean while on a jet ski. For next time some ports have “mini speed boat” excursions which is a similar type thing to a jet ski. Those Caribbean beaches will ruin you from going to Florida.

You'll have had beautiful weather since the beginning of your cruise. Here in Virginia and along the East Coast, we have had heavy rain and strong winds. Next week, the temperatures are going down in the low 30s. The shops in Haiti have very unique items they are selling. Hermit crabs are really fun to watch. The sound of the dragon is really wild. Your days are really full once you'll get up and head out for breakfast. I've never been on a cruise ship. I'm sure it's a lot of fun.😊

Been to Labadee back in 2018 on Oasis of the Seas. Loved it, cant wait to go back and take my family. I agree, the shop owners can be very pushy. Best advice, buy what you want, dont be afraid to say "no" and get out of there.
Jet skis are awesome. Next time you come to Myrtle Beach, go to Little River. The have dolphin tours on jet skis. Extremely fun

I remember in the 90s the boats washing up o the shores of St Augustine FL. That was pretty far north. I guess the jet steam carried them, I dot know. It’s like yesterday that it was a common occurrence.

Just seen the new ship called epic I think omg it's mind blowing its massive oh man I'm booking it for next year and possibly the viking cruise 🛳 might be something to consider ❤🎉😊
On the cruise that I proposed to my now wife, I had a suite (got it for almost the same cost as a normal balcony room) so I was able to use the special area reserved for suites and got a cabana, that was amazing!
My room was great for me and my 3 daughters, we needed extra space. My future wife had a regular balcony room.
I proposed on formal night, while we had the ship photographer taking photos on the staircase.
We became known as that couple who got engaged, lol! That was almost 10 years ago, and we just celebrated our 9 year anniversary and will be going on Oasis of the Seas for a Mediterranean cruise this spring!
I did the zip line there, it was slow and easy, but cool to say I took the longest zip line over water. You didn't miss a lot by not doing it. The jet skis were probably a lot more fun, and seeing the island from different angles

I loved video. I dont wanna impose. But would love to see a video explainjng how u booked the cruise. That info would b so useful. Maybe the next cruise you could do something like that for the last video of the series. So intimidating going to other places and planning the trip.
I love the video. This is not the real haiti. This is the cruise ship haiti. With cruise ship food and cruise ship markets. I wonder how much of the cruise ship money goes to the country and not into the politicians?

RCL built a brand new hospital and school in this part of Haiti. They also updated the water/sewer and electric grid, not to mention the jobs they provide.
