Making a Protractor Fine Adjustment Gear Part 1

  • In this episode I begin the process of making the fine adjustment gear that allows these protractors to be moved by 1/12th of a degree on a Browne & Sharpe protractor model 496. These little knobs have a tendency to get lost and mine didn't come with one. So lets make one.
    NOTE:

    I'm kinda surprised you "free-handed" the filing instead of printing an image on a sticker as a guide.
