2:48 OMG I LOVE YOU, you have no idea how much I love that you understand and here the nuance I put into it!! 2:58, yes I'm doing everything you are hearing in the entire song... it's all the human voice. I think this one has about 110 tracks. I had whitney also record some dubs which was really nice for a change she's a tremendous talent... as well, but all parts, everything you hear from Bass to "drums" is acappella! 4:33 - this is literally so fun yep. purposeful and very impressive you are catching all of this. Whitney Avalon does more comedic-ish original/parady songs on her channel while Peter Hollens tends to more straight covers of a big variety of songs. So between the two of them there's plenty of videos to dive into.
Not to mention all the videos Peter has done with Brian Hull - their disney sidekicks medley is my favourite out of that.
On the Jafar section, that specific song comes during the big turn for Jafar where he has the genie and is taking over the palace. This means that instead of his usual sultry, hypnotic tones he is using more powerful, evil textures. The difference in their vocals comes from him giving Jafar's natural aspects and her giving more of the In-Charge elements of that point in the movie.

Omg yes! Please get to know Peter Holler’s work. His wife Evynne Hollens (pronounced like Evan) is also an amazing vocalist in her own right and does many projects with him.
Especially loved their version of Rewrite the stars!
Or also the masup from the songs from the movie Anastasia.

And Whitney Avalon has a pretty large body of work too. Not as big as theirs, and a lot of it was her rap battles, but she's got music too. And the rap battles are fun.

Peter Hollens' fans *freaked out* about his brief covers of 'Hellfire' and 'Be Prepared' and _demanded_ full versions. He gave the people what they wanted on both counts and 'Be Prepared' also has another short version in his 'Lion King Vs. Aladdin' video. Please please react to him and Anthony Vincent doing 'Shape Of You, 24 artists 24 styles' video. THAT one you will REALLY enjoy. (not that this one _wasn't_ awesome)
Both Whitney and Peter are amazing. I recommend reacting to Peter Hollen's collab with Avi Kaplan to the song "Black is the colour of my true love's hair". Both of their voices are amazing, especially with Avi's low notes.

My favorite version of Hellfire is by Jonathan Young. Such a great performance.

The one I always go back to is Cinderella vs Belle. Partly due to Sarah Michelle Gellar, but also because it had some of the best roasts between the two of them. Belle especially came to throw down.

You should definitely check out more of his work. Peter and his wife Evynne also did a beautiful cover of 'At Last I See The Light' from Disney's Tangled and Peter has also done a Pixar mashup with someone who's name I sadly forgot, but it was definitely amazing and hilarious

Ooh, if you're doing Disney villain stuff, I HIGHLY recommend checking out the song "Twisted" from the Starkid show Twisted, if you haven't already. The show itself is widely regarded as Starkid's best, parodying Aladdin and Wicked by making Jafar the good guy. The titular song is all of the Disney villains coming out one by one to sing about how their stories have been twisted over time to make them out to be the bad guy, when they initially had good intentions. It's such a fabulous song with some fantastic vocals and impression work, I literally cannot recommend it enough. 💜💚

OMG if you're not familiar with Peter Hollens, you are in for a treat. He has such a great range and is ~so good~ at changes in tone and flavor. He does a lot of this type of "many layers of his own voice" thing, both by himself and with guest artists. He's done several with Tim Foust of Home Free, for example (their version of Greensleeves is to die for), along with several things of this nature with the "people in boxes" for a medley.

5:10 No, this is the only video they've done together. He has done other videos with his wife Evynne Hollens, who has her own music channel. Peter's is more focused on acapella, while Evynne's will usually have instrumentals as well as instructional videos.

So Peter got his start with the group “On the Rocks”, which competed in the first season is The Sing-Off. If you want to hear a very young Peter, look for their acapella cover of ‘Kyrie Eleison’, in which he takes lead. 😁

Funny you should mention Whitney's Gothel going into a more English vowel sound at the end; the one little bit of this whole thing that bothers me slightly is when Peter tries to go English as Frollo and says 'you know I *yim* a righteous man' instead of 'am'. We don't do that.
