They “hit” this LIVE in their “Pop Spring Performance!” It’s a live performance from Japan, I believe and includes 4 total songs from the person who recorded it. You can react to the entire 14 minutes and 58 seconds in one go. Now, with pauses for your wonder and exclamations, it might be close to double that, but WE Pentaholics are here for THAT!!!!!
Popspring was professionally recorded, I think by MTV. That's why it's so fine! Highly recommended.
For what it's worth, I don't mind ONE bit if you sing along....it's almost impossible not to! Most of us Pentaholics have heard these songs a bazillion times, and we can always listen to the original. We are watching YOUR reaction to it, and I love your enthusiasm! Don't let that comment ruin your day, man. I don't think that's how most of us feel. Sing on, young man! 🙂

I agree. We have seen the videos heard the music we watch reactions to see you hear you.
They sing with the voices of angels and it is music that flows through their veins. The most mind boggling of all is that each and every time you are convinced PTX has reached the top of their abilities, you discover you were wrong. Somehow they have leveled up again! Eventually you just surrender to the artistry and magic, knowing the surprises will keep on comming.

Aren’t they all INCREDIBLE? Their “Evolutions” are all AMAZING, they capture the spirit of the artist they’re “covering” but create something new and fresh. And as far as you singing along, PTX has an original song called “Sing” where they literally say “Let Me Hear *YOU* Sing” and turn the camera on US so I know they want us to sing a long. Music is balm to the soul and PTX has been healing me for years ❤️🔥🙌

I knew you would love this one! I love their 'evolution' videos, they are just the five of them singing in a room together and the videos are recorded live in one take (they record the whole thing a few times and then keep the best one!). The arrangements are amazing - put together by what they call their 6th member, arranger Ben Bram, who has been with them since the beginning of Pentatonix. They are all so insanely talented.

The Evolution videos are shot straight through! They record a few different renditions, then pick the best one!

I think it's time you encountered SuperFruit. SuperFruit is a separate CZcams channel that Scott and Mitch started where they could do their own thing, independently of Pentatonix (though Pentatonix always came first). The final SuperFruit video is dated February 14, 2019, and I don't expect that they'll ever start it up again; they've both moved on to other things. But all those old videos are still there, and are well worth watching.
Mostly they vlogged. They did live streams with fans. They occasionally had a guest. They played silly games together. Stuff like that. But frequently they put out things that are incredibly funny. Try their "FROZEN MEDLEY (feat. Kirstie Maldonado)." Or "99 Ways to Ditch Your Date." Or "GUY.EXE." On most of the funny ones, be sure to stick around after the obvious end of the video for their blooper reel. The exception to that is GUY.EXE, which is an official video for one of the two Super Friends albums that they put out.
I wondered how you'd get through this one. I was all soppy by the end the first 10 times I watched it. It just makes me sad how many young, talented people we have lost, and Michael was one of the best. He was someone we all grew up listening to. And all he asked for in his songs, especially at the end, was for people to love each other. RIP Michael. Another favorite Evolution video is Evolution of Beyonce. Love to see your reaction to that one.
I’m currently waiting to take our cat to the emergency vet and I’m dancing around to Michael and I didn’t even grow up listening to him, went straight to CZcams PTX to kill 30 minutes and get my mind off

Not Earth, but as Mark says in Scott's single, "Mars" when Mark tells Scott how he is Unique and he "must be from Mars that explains how amazing you are to Scott.
Fortunately for us he didn't go solo but dragged his 2 best friends from High School to form the band, Pentatonix.
So you can see the process of putting a song together, I recommend watching "The Recording of Evergreen" which is a recent (2021) Christmas album. Due to COVID and schedules they had 14 days to arrange and record all the songs. A camera was invited in for the second week.
OK, so it is best if you have seen the songs beforehand, but it is not a total spoiler if you haven't.

@@Okayrick I don't specifically recall you being off-key, but I can tell you that it's sometimes very hard to be in tune when singing along with Pentatonix, more than with other singers. The reason is their ranges. Kirstie is a "mezzo soprano." Mezzo is the lowest soprano range, just above alto. I'm a mezzo soprano. But Kirstie's *actual* range is all the way from low alto (though not contralto, which is closer to the baritone range) through coloratura soprano, the very highest soprano range. Kirstie can sing as high as Mitch, and that isn't even counting her whistle notes. So how can I sing along with Kirstie? Answer: I can't. I don't have the range for it. Who am I supposed to sing along with? Mitch? The dude with a greater than six octave range? Not a chance.
The only way I know of to be in tune when singing along with Pentatonix is basically to sing in tune but an octave lower, or higher, to put it in your range, and that can be difficult. If you have the ear for it you may be able to sing harmony - say a fifth or a third off of the melody line - but I can't hear it well enough to do that, and I suspect most other amateurs can't either.
The best answer I know is to sing along when you feel like it and not to worry too much about whether you're in tune. Sing for the joy of singing. And I think that's exactly the advice Pentatonix themselves would give to you. I *know* it's the advice most pentaholics would give you.

Yes, almost certain that California Roll is Pentatonix; the clues are pretty obvious.
The point of watching reactors is to see them react! If someone can't stand it when a reactor sings along (showing their enjoyment) or pauses to comment or ask questions, then they just need to not watch that reactor & move on to one that has a style they like. Don't leave negative comments that discourage others!

You sing! Trust me, we've heard them sing all of their songs dozens upon dozens of times already. We know the songs. If you sing well, sing loud. If you don't sing well, own it and sing louder! Just enjoy it and do your reaction. lol We'll enjoy you enjoying them.

Good enthusiasm but HOLY PAUSES, BATMAN! One of the things about PTX and their "Evolution of ..." or Medley tunes is the transitions are crafted so well and are to be savored. But you can't savor the transitions if you keep bloody pausing!!!! Also, are you "doing a reaction" or "performing a reaction"? One of those is honest. Think about it.
