Sometimes no matter how much I advocate or how serious it is I don’t get what I need . Even if it is serious and can’t wait they say there are no apts available for months. It can be very frustrating and depressing and lonely. Especially when I am very sick with a lot of serious Rare diseases and other things going on and it don’t matter. It is hard navigating health care.
Agreed- ALWAYS advocate for yourself especially when your health is on the line!!! I always tell my hubby I rather be a hypochondriac vs catching something too late!
Thanks! I do think that a womens intuition is real, and that's what I'm going off of right now. Even if it's nothing, I'd rather know.

Look into functional medicine if you don’t have cancer. Much more up to date on thyroid conditions and get to the cause so it can then be fixed. I take bio identical T 3 and it has saved me. I didn’t know how I was going to continue working.

Thanks for letting us know. U will be fine after the biopsy to drive home. Ice like crazy. I did bruise. Congrats on the weight loss. Keep up the good work. Keep in mind the A1C is a total of 3 month average. Just keep on keeping on. Hugs and prayers for u. Not defending the dr by any means but thyroid cancer is soo slow growing and if they thought they looked cancerous I think they would of gotten u in sooner. U do have to be your own advocate.
Thanks Marlene! Good tips on icing the biopsy spot. I guess the good news on my A1C levels being a 3 month average, is that it includes our week in Maui! I did NOT eat well while we were there, so hopefully my next 3 month average brings my levels down even more. My dad actually said the same thing about why my doctor may have not been too concerned about talking to me sooner; not as much to worry about given what she saw on the scans. I just think that the patient should at least be told that so that THEY don't sit and worry about it unnecessarily. Any other tips on getting the biopsy?
@@daynacreates1105 I agree with u 100 percent the waiting and wondering is hell! Don’t know if u are the kind of person who wants to know what the biopsy is like or expect or rather be surprised??
@@marlenezagar4487 I’d rather be informed about the biopsy process. I know that they’ll use a local anesthetic, and inject each node about 5 times to get the sample. Other than that, I have no idea. Any tips would be appreciated.
@@daynacreates1105 I’m the same way. I’d rather know and be as prepared as possible. It was rough for me. Very unpleasant. I know ppl who said they didn’t feel a thing. That wasn’t my experience. It’s doable, but painful. I felt a lot of pressure and a pulling sensation as the needle went in and out. Try to hold as still as possible and breathe. Your neck is kinda over a pillow in a odd position. About when u think ok I’m done it is. Wishing you a pain free experience. I wonder if dr didn’t let the numbing work well before going in. I’d make sure and ask them to wait longer if i ever have to do again. Praying I don’t. I felt like she numbed it and then went in. Grr! Good luck my friend!

I really need to lose some weight my doc did not give me any medication to take for para thyroid i have debectic my A1C was 6.1
Getting your A1C is important for sure. Do you have a thyroid problem? Has the doctor told you to take meds for it? That alone can help a lot. I’ve learned that walking each day can really make a difference. Good luck with your journey.
I have parathyroid and diabetes, I dont believe there is any medicine for the parathyroid only surgery
