Great video Charles! I am getting great results with the Caswell chemicals doing zinc plating. I followed your video. By the time I use the Prymemx pads and zinc plated the parts I think the finish is better than OEM! I guess originally the parts were probably tumbled and not hand finished so that is the difference.
Exactly, and a lot of the factory stuff has chromate as well! Every single nut and bolt in my current build looks like chrome, probably just like what you're getting. Thanks for watching and stoked you're enjoying yourself
At 46 now I would by some sick new gear and slowly start riding our local motocross track again on the most badass 2 stroke !! It's been 10 years since with only a handful of laps done I'm ready again !! Sweet machine

Wow Charles, this is one bad azz build! I have to admit, if I won this bike, I would REALLY like to go do laps at our local track. However, this one would probable end up being on display....most of the time! Again, your extreme attention to detail is so over the top, I think it's unmatched in the motocross world.

If I won thundercracker I would ride it about all the time, but I would make sure to take good care of it, like properly washing it making sure everything is in good condition, and just servicing it on timeđ

The motor looks incredible and the cylinder head compliments the suspension!! Very nice!! As for the dome is it the "stock" or is it their "95 octane" dome? Just curious and I have thought about these cylinder heads for my YZ250. This bike is going to look incredible when it is complete!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you! The plan is coming together just like I had hoped! For the head, man there are so many things going on with this build & company that I sort of forgot what I selected! I can't remember if we went 100 octane... That's what I usually go for. Luke might chime in here!

If I were to win it, I would definitely ride the bike. But I would be religious with maintenance and keeping it clean. A bike this beautiful deserves to be ridden but also preserved for the future. I would keep it as nice as I could for my future son/daughter. Keep it as a family heirloom so multiple generations could enjoy such a beautiful and well done bike!

When I Thunder Cracker I am going to treat it like a king. It will be ridden as it should. When it is not being ridden it will hang out in my garage with my other bikes that I restored. They would love another bunkmate. Their names are 1970 Honda CT70, 1986 Honda CR125, and 1995 Honda CR250. They are well behaved and never let me down because I baby them with a spa treatment after each ride. If they get scraped up I fix them with my Caswell Zinc Plating kit.

yeh you might want to grind the mounts for the spark box on the frame so they are grounded and not just on bolts...
Hey dude, are you talking about the coil? The powder coating is actually ground off underneath each mounting point for a good ground. Used a Dremel after tracing the coil mounts, so that there is minimal corrosion and so that the grindings cannot be seen. đȘ
If I was so lucky to win the bike I would definitely take it to the track and ride it. But more importantly I would showcase it in my man cave and have all my buddies over to look at it and drink beer all the while driving my wife CRAZY! LOL

Recently started following the builds and videos and just the positve vibe of them make it so good. For me if I won T.C. I'd treat it like my bikes in the past, ride it for fun and have the best time I can on it for the season then during the winter refresh everything, clean, polish, rebuild and make it mint. Nothing better than starting the season off with a factory condition bike every year! đ€

@@mxrevival That is interesting. It looks absolutely stunning. Looking into cerakote mysel for the same type of engine case coating. It looks very close to what factory Kawi used to have on their two strokes. Albeit i know they Hard Anodize their factory japan provided magnesium engine case.

If I win the bike it likely is just going to be the bike I bring to the track as a conversation piece for people to see and admire at my local races. It will however be raced in the two stroke shootout races I go to that are larger races and down to Daytona to be on display during the vintage race after the 2023 Daytona sx. Will look awesome next to my 00-01 McGrath replica. Nothing crazy about my comment, just what I can ideally see myself doing with it.

THNDR CRAKR...First I would utilize network television show post production technolgy and expertise to showcase this bike in all encompassing 360 views to the AC/DC THUNDERSTRUCK soundtrack dubbed in...Next I would temporarily affix an OG Optimus Prime to the seat for stills and animated transformation. The next segment would feature me in all new clean and crisp gear with the bike and a pan of Glen Helen with a focus on Mt. Saint Helens...Would have to include kickstarting this beauty over and bringing her to life...Then, after heat cycles and a proper warm up...I would be sending this đ through the start straight at Glen Helen, into the Talladega turn and rocketing up Mt. If I were to win this beautiful bike I would be able to get out on the track and start riding with my kids I have an 11 year old daughter that rides a 2021 ssr 125 a 9 year old daughter that just started racing a kx65 that I built from the ground up and a 3 year old son that will start racing a pw50 next year so with all my kids riding not to much room for ol dad so it would be awesome to be able to ride with them and potentially start racing again

I think Iâd have a problem riding it. Itâs way too nice. Of course Iâd have to ride it but Iâd wrap it in bubble wrap first. It would have to be ridden at a special track at a special event. Iâd be the slowest MFer out on the track but damn id look badass.

@@mxrevival I'm sure you're alot better rider than me. Ive raced 1 race ever and that was last year. Im an old fogey and beginner rider as far as racing goes. I cant correct my bike when I get sideways in the air. I dont know how to whip. I just ride hard and do my best to keep it upright.

If I won thunder cracker I'd go out riding with my 4 kids I sold my bike to buy my kids 85cc 2 strokes and I'd actually be able to keep up in the trails. They are always waiting on me because I'm on a quad and I'm dodging all the trash people dump. It's sad people dump trash everywhere in the Mohave desert..
