I still think the best one (two technically) was Joseph Gordon-Levitt on Lip Sync Battle, when he knocked it out with Yeah (Usher), then Rhythm Nation (Janet Jackson). He showed he could move and keep up with the lyrics at the same time, a skill not too many have been able to do, whether on Fallon's show or LSB.

Josh Gads was perfect. He lip synced that song pretty well but he provided his own twist. It's easy to copy the music video/performance to a song, but it's better to provide your own interpretation. Those are the best types of lip sync battles.
