  • There are never too many wretches to spoil a good hunt. One of the members of the Silver Sisters, Artemis vows to protect Melinoë under her watch out in the woods. Once the Goddess of the Hunt finds her mark, it's over. Death to Chronos.
    DISCLAIMER: There exists a clip from the Early Access, but the dialogue itself should have existed since the Technical Testing. I couldn't find it so I dropped it from my recent playthrough. See to the timestamps to avoid the infamous "Gal Pals! #2".

    Super Giant knew, they knew everyone loved Artemis as their favorite Boon Goddess. Thats why I screamed like a little girl when we finally got to see her in the flesh this game.

    All I'm asking is for a trial of the gods between Apollo and Artemis. I want to see their petty arguments for Mel's attention it will be so funny. (Highly unlikely to happen but even a duo boon would do)

      I used to think a lot of highly unlikelies for this game. This is one of them, but it would be a missed opportunity if they don’t have the sibling rivalry lol

    You have way to many people bitching about Artemis in Hades 2, and my argument to that is: THAT'S THE POINT.
    The Artemis we see in Hades was awkward because she doesnt thrive in places like Olympus---but in Hades 2, she's a lot more comfterable due to being in her element.
    You call "out-of-character" I call actually being happy.
    ...which is weird, because this is during an outright siege of both places.

      @Hamstir4  Před 25 dny +24

      The first thing I noticed was how much more engaging she was with Mel which was so cute. Comments before said it’s because Artemis 1) is more comfortable with the same-sex. 2) She’s in the woods. 3) she’s been acquainted with Mel specifically 4) Zagreus had an impact on her so she’s more open since. I happen to think they’re all correct. We see her in her preferred state than where she was in Hades 1.

    • @Yidenia
      @Yidenia Před 23 dny +13

      @@Hamstir4 Also in Hades she never heard any reply from Zagreus because the communications only went one way. They even mention that they wish they could hear what Zagreus was saying. All the other Olympians were unruffled because they habitually don't care about the people they're talking to, they're so full of themselves and they like the sound of their own voices, but Artemis was probably more realistic in this regard than any of them, because she behaved like anyone would when they're talking to a blank wall. In Hades 2 she's clearly face-to-face with Melinöe so of course she would be smoother and less awkward.

    her art looks like it was ripped out from one of those "group photos" in video games that usually appear at the end of the game or epilogue.

    @King-of-the-beginning Před 25 dny +13

    Does anyone else think Artemis’s art looks weird. It fella like it’s in a different art style than the rest of the portraits.

    • @Hamstir4
      @Hamstir4  Před 25 dny +14

      I agree its the style that’s different. Hades 1 had thick black shadings, while Hades 2 seemed to ditch that aesthetic. My guess was Hades 1 was designed with dynamic poses for when you call the gods’ aid, but we don’t seem to have that here. So they settled with an art style that was fit for interactions rather than cool aesthetics? My take at least.

    • @ProjjectDelta.
      @ProjjectDelta. Před 25 dny +4

      Her old design portrayed her an bit like an Teenager, doing her own thing with younger lighter colors and styling, and her stance pulling off an "Meh" type feeling while still being presentable.
      Her new design makes her feel Darker, Older, and more Mature. Which granted considering this is plenty of years since the first Hades and the fact that there is an War going on, portrays that quite well, but I'm not as big of an fan of it.

    I wonder how supergiant would handle individuals like Orion or Hippolytus. Males with positive or in orions case effing complicated relationships with Artemis.

    • @antonissa8345
      @antonissa8345 Před 25 dny +9

      Hippolytus was a bad guy who was just obsessed with her. Orion depends on what version of him they want to use. They maybe use the version where he was a lover of Eos who was killed by Artemis.

    • @sirnonsense5033
      @sirnonsense5033 Před 25 dny +5

      @@antonissa8345 The version of him being a lover is just a misunderstanding as far as I recall. I think it was just appollo thinking tat orion was so good with the bow that se could sow interest so he made her shoot him ( there was never any relationship) and she just felt guilty so she made him a constelation. In other versions she either competed with him or actually straight up killed him cuz he chaised the pleadies ( her friends). Also fun fact in those versions Zeus either made him a starcontelation to keep chaising the pleadies or made the scorpion ( that killed him) one to chaise him, Did he have any connection? nope hes just an asshole xd.

    • @Hamstir4
      @Hamstir4  Před 25 dny +4

      Interesting reads! I grew up with the interpretation of Orion perhaps having a more intimate relationship with Artemis, meaning Orion was an exception from the other men. But recently been reading the alternative interpretations which I’m cool with ^ more of a power move for Artemis to shrug off every men lmao

    • @lunerblade13
      @lunerblade13 Před 25 dny +1

      @@Hamstir4 that’s why I called orions relationship with Artemis to be “efffing complicated”. It’s a reason why I enjoy Fate’s interpretation of their relationship which I see as “externally toxic but internally sweet”.
      Orion despite his womanizing nature never truly abandons Artemis even when he is in a timeline where Artemis is his enemy. If anything I see his attempts to flirt and/sleep with other women while still can be seen as scummy can also be seen as his means to satisfy his libido because he would never cross the line with Artemis knowing that she is a virgin goddess.
      While Artemis on the other hand is depicted with a very childish incomplete understanding on actual love. She is possessive hostile and unpredictable to Orion. But despite that like Orion she would never abandon him and in the end seems understanding of orions predicament.

      Me too! The game doesn’t point out this detail, but clearly Lil Mel still had both her arms. There’s a peculation Hecate also has a honey arm on her left hand, maybe! My only guess was that it was a sacrificial ritual for Mel’s Task.
