    agree with 3 of the 4 points, good friends will support you and guide you when you need some course correction, if the "friend" isn't supportive of your actions and decisions (valid supportive points of suggestion of course) then they're not really "good friends".... i have 2 circles of buddies, a close knit of 10 that i've known for 2 decades and everyones always been helpful/supportive/resourceful, and then the 2nd group, fun people to hangout with, get's ya out here and there, willing to join up but not 100% in the same lane so to speak, 2nd group is great for parties and hangouts but not more personnal interaction

    Absolute facts with the mortgage point. One caveat would be that it’s wise to invest the difference between what you would be paying with the mortgage and what you’re paying in rent. since you won’t have an “asset” in the home you should be putting your money to work elsewhere ie the stock market.

    Thanks for the good content. Renting is good to figure out where you want to live. Here in the states, I'd recommend buying a house with owner financing if you can find that deal, because you side step the bank. Just have a lawyer write up your contract, and add a term that states you can sell the house before it's paid off. This is one of the beautiful benefits of USA.

    My current girlfriend won't let me go the gym as "I will be looking at others girls" Sounds crazy right. What shall I do? Go to the gym anyways. Break up with her because of her controlling behavior? Let me know thanks

    • @malik32345
      @malik32345 Před 3 měsíci +33

      Go to the gym if you want to bro. But before you do that just try to understand the perspective she putting out if you want to keep the relationship going with her if not just break up. But if you want to keep it going find out why it is that she thinks you will go to look at girls, or find a gym where there is not much to look at lol. Just seek to understand before understood in that type of situation. May be her past experience or own insecurities getting in her way but I don't want to assume because I don't have all the details. But this is my recommendation. And also was she always controlling? And have you talked to her about her behavior? And have you had a posturing talk about that controlling behavior?

    • @ryanlad3541

    It's funny but when you have a girlfriend you think your life is sorted. All those things you did before you had a girlfriend such as going to the gym, it stops. I was dating a girl in 2012 and I'd go to the gym everyday and suddenly I stopped. I thought, I have a girlfriend so I don't need to bother. I soon started piling on the pounds and I didn't need to try so hard. That's just as worse as being single, all alone, eating fatty foods, not taking care of yourself.

    I am 35 and I never had any gf or friends. I only chose success. I was so lazy in my school days that I decided to go back to school in my mid 20s and cought up to all the degrees you can get. And this mindset stuck. I only care about becoming better at my skills even though nobody will ever care or know about it. I am not sure if that complete isolation is good or bad but it certainly does not matter for my career.

Would you say that spending all that time from ur mid 20s to now totally worth it? Life right now just seems so boring all I do is work gym and school, no gf or friends just straight up grind.

    • @eth7928
      @eth7928 Před 3 měsíci +1

      Before I went to University, I was working in construction. Before that, I was working in a bakery and I had to get up at 2am in the morning. Every day. Depending on your situation and job you are in, it is worth it if you have a better future ahead. I did not want to bury myself in the low paid jobs so I had to do something to get higher education. Now I am a developer. Sitting in front of a screen all day, earning money, going to the gym. Life is good, but its also boring. But in my case it was way worse back then. I could not tell you if it was worth it but I had to make a descision. Also, by becoming older you become more stoic and thus, all the pain and problems just repell. It is a great feeling that once you conquer your own body and mind, the result is not happiness but finally being "sober" from life.

I’m doing school, working 2 jobs, and working to start my own business during college. I’m out all day from 5am-11pm. I’m a very social guy and meet new people everyday, it’s just been super hard to find people who have similar values and interests. An example, lot of people I met want you to fit in with them by getting a fake id and going out and partying all the time. I just don’t have the time and also don’t want to risk my life. Socially, it’s just been hard for me. So my question for you David is that is what are some ways that I could improve myself socially?

    Really like point number 4. I have been renting for years and will still continue to for a very long time. At least until I’m 40. As someone who owns multiple rental properties in addition to renting my own place, an even better hack to point 4 is to own any property giving you good rental income (i.e. a quadplex, small multifamily or even 2-4 apartments in the same building where you live in 1 and rent the rest out) to offset the expenses of owning that property and renting your residence home from the rental income yield you receive. Also, the biggest reason why I’m hesitant to buy a house is due to having to pay for the mortgage and maintenance expenses associated with homeownership without any way to offset it i.e. via rental income. I’ve done this strategy throughout Texas and Georgia. It’s especially effective and great for single people.

Also studies show that men with a receding hairline have higher than average testosterone levels.

      @@RustyZipper Why would you want her then. If you see her only as a liability you need not marry her. She needs to save herself first. Otherwise, you are never going to have a partner but a dependent. The same goes for women who have it together considering marrying a man with debts and fancy stuff. Bad financial habits do not change until one has suffered it. By marrying such a person, you are trying to save a drowning person and he or she will take you under.

      @@JudyBarrette - well said! That’s why I’m not married and no children at 40. My g/f makes the same money as me. I see absolutely no benefit in being legally bound together in 2024, except for health insurance.

      @@RustyZipper You are the creator of your life. If you do not feel creating a family is worth the trouble, then don't. Having children changes everything for a couple. Best both understand that. Being a mother, looking after a home, being in a relationship, plus maintaining a high paying job is not something all women can juggle. Even if you put in your all, it will be challenging. Something will suffer. And it could very well be your couple life. A man in his late 70's once shared with me how he regretted the decision him and his wife made to not have children, though. Yes, they travelled, and had lots of stuff and money. He envied my parents because I visited them on Mother and Father's Day. Also that it was a priority to get together for birthdays and Holidays. He saw the joy I had with my own children, taking them to hockey, and biking, camping, fishing, etc with them. Even the struggles of teen years were pleasing to him. Not always to me though. The children are all grown and on their own now. They are still a source of joy to us, and now as parents and grand parents.

    Why is using the F word so important?

      It is not , it's just the illusion of feeling more manly ,but in reality it's just the opposite 🤣

      @@jerryharanczyk I sure agree. Men use it a lot but women do too.
