The Gordon reveal is so cool . Jill did not deserve that but the last thing she thought about was John , that was sweet especially when John died in Saw 3 the last thing he thought about was Jill . I loved that parallel.

That's not what I've seen from other comments. He was meant to survive and have a hospital scene showing how he lived. But was on tour with linkin park on a thousands sun's album. So they scraped the idea. But not saying your wrong either.
Tobin Bell did an interview for this movie that was published on October 29, 2010 saying that he would like to be cast against type some time -- to play a doctor, lawyer, nightclub owner, or orchestra conductor. Bell said that he thought he'd be playing "sensitive, intelligent romantic leads" when he became a character actor. "I am so ready to play a gay nightclub owner, a man who dances and has this great joie de vivre.” That was 13 years ago.
Villains are more interesting but i get that he wants to be more diverse. I'm so glad that he still plays John Kramer. I personally would love to see him as lead in a romantic comedy

Most saw fans don’t like it, but me personally I would like to see a follow up in some way but thankfully we got a pretty successful movie in Saw X so we should keep getting more Saw movies!
I just want more good Saw movies, whether they're sequels or miquels like Saw X. Although some of the sequels are enjoyable in a "so bad, it's good" kind of way, I will admit.
Hoffman was actually in a rather romantic role when he was younger. My sister and I were very in love with him for his character in Picket Fences. In fact, if I recall correctly, he was a police officer in that too. Minus the torture.
I loved the twist with finding out that Lawrence Gordon was secretly involved! But the one thing that pissed me off the most was how Joyce (Bobby’s fiancé) was burned to death for NO reason!! She did nothing wrong! She didn’t even know that Bobby’s story was a lie! Oh well.
That death makes me so angry! She didn't deserve what happened to her and she seemed so sweet. She was just a loving wife and because of Bobby's lies, she gets one of the most gruesome deaths in the series. I want a word with whoever wrote that.

Saw 3D had a lot of...questionable decisions (Joyce 100% did not deserve that trap, Jill going from a string-puller and active participant to a screaming damsel, etc.), but I will always love the Dr. Gordon reveal at the end. Also it was cut from the movie, but Brad and Ryan from the beginning trap were Gordon's henchpiggies at the end.
I love the Dr. Goron twist at the end as well as the scene with the survivor support group. I wish that scene was longer or even a short film of it would be neat. We could have brief flashbacks showing more traps which is always a plus and there's somethings about characters from horror movies being shown in the sequels recoving physically and mentally recoving that is such an underused trope and I wish more people explored it.
I love Saw 3D but it's usually the most hated one. Another thing that people miss and it shows how smart Hoffman can be is that when he is being a terminator in the Police department, he is locking doors as he goes through and only leaves the evidence door open. Therefore, when Jill escaped, he knew where she would end up but also, he had access to all the traps from other movies. I really like the fake trap survival plot and I really wished they kept a lot of the deleted scenes in as they added more to Bobby's discussion with his friend about doing it but also, one where Bobby is attending a trap survival meeting and is scared to enter but Dr. Gordon manages to convince him saying the 'first step is always the hardest'. It stops him from seeing so shady instantly and explains why Bobby didn't think much of his appearance during his DVD recording.
The reason why the blood doesn't look - enough - red is because it was actually a more pink-ish color, which made it look better in 3D. But they never got to adjust the general colors when it released in 2D, so there's a lot of "color mistakes" in this movie~
I remember that when I was a teenager I watched the Saw saga, chapter after chapter, always alone because none of my friends appreciated splatter. Watching your reactions to this saga made me nostalgic but above all it made me feel in good company, it's like having seen those films again but with someone close to me, ready to scream and get excited. Ugh the Silence Circle is BRUTAL. You can just picture the awful feeling of that fish hook. And then she wouldn't stop screaming after it was out, making the rods come closer faster. like COME ON LADY. The worst part was done. Just let him save you.
She had a hook inside her being pulled through her throat. And even after it was out the cut it made inside her was still there. How was she not supposed to scream?
@kiraaisling9603 screaming doesn't relieve the pain, so it serves no purpose other than expressing the agony. Obviously, that's gonna be most peoples' reaction in that scenario. But because of that she suffered for nothing! If she wasn't gonna stop screaming, then he would've done better to not try to save her at all.

So, Saw 3D. A decent movie. I liked Dr Gordon finally being addressed(though I think revealing him so early in the movie was absolutely a misplay as it basically gives the plot twist away). I like John planning for Hoffman's antics and his love for Jill ultimately trapping Hoffman in the room that started it all. Unfortunately, I think the blood and 3D effects in this movie aged very poorly. And while I liked Saw X for mostly focusing on John, this movie had basically 3 or 4 minutes of John. It was basically just a cameo. I think Tobin Bell is an amazing actor. So not having him in most of the movie when it's called, "The Final Chapter" was absolutely a misplay. For me at least. I think when Saw finally ends, it should give us a nice closure for Jigsaw. But this movie also did give us "Hip with the kids" backwards cap Jigsaw so I guess that's a positive. And very funny.

Ok so if my memory serves me correct...there was supposed to be a Saw 7 and a Saw 8. But Saw 6 didnt do well at the box office so both premises of 7 and 8 were combined into one movie. Hence the random moments in the movie (ie: the lawnmower trap). Hopefully that helps. Didnt find this channel until recently. Love your Saw reactions and im gonna binge watch more of your reactions.

The last movie and the start of this movie shows that Hoffman has the strongest will to live out of most everyone else. It’s a cool concept for a villain in this franchise.

The trap from the beginning does come back. The two guys in that were the survivors of the trap are who helped Gordon take down Hoffman at the end. You probably won’t see this but that’s how it comes back. This was confirmed by the writer and the director.

My only issues with this movie are: Bobby is insufferable (but honestly at this point it's kind of iconic haha. He's so dumb and fun to make fun of.) and I was annoyed by the spikes under his cage at the start of his test; they are not even remotely threatening... They couldn't have put the spikes closer together to make it more believable? Why is he swinging the cage? He can just carefully lower himself down! If anything, what he did is what made the spikes dangerous, cuz he could have landed flat on his dumb back on top of them haha. second, Why the hell was Joyce killed??? I'm not one of those people that loses their mind when John bends his "rules", but Joyce is one of the most innocent characters we've seen in this series. She did not deserve any of this. She genuinely didn't know what was going on, was lied to by bobby and used, and then died for his sins. It was so bull. I would argue probably the most bull death in the entire franchise. I think the trap should have protected Joyce and done something to bobby outside of it, while she was being held inside.
I enjoyed this movie and Matt Gibson was a great cop and had history with Hoffman which I liked. He was no Peter Strahm but he was good enough for this Chapter. This was the perfect ending leaving Hoffman's fate open. The Hoffman actor keeps saying Hoffman is still alive and I agree with him :D he's an escape artist. I can't wait for y'all to react to JIGSAW. Jigsaw does sort of connect to the OG movies. Spiral I did NOT like lmao. Jigsaw's twist got me the most.

Just in case don't tell you: But the two men in the first trap are the two pigs who team up with Doctor Gordon when they overpower Mark Hofman when the building explodes..That was actually the original idea and the makers wanted to Two part finale, but unfortunately that never happened because this film unfortunately did not earn enough in the cinema and DVD release.

This movie is my favourite Saw film to watch. It is just so much dumb fun. And that ending is soooooo satisfying. Far from the best. But definitely the most fun.
Yall talking about the opening trap. CZ’s World I think is who I was watching that helped me develop my opinion. When talking about John on a psychological level by the end has developed a full blown god complex. That’s why he had so many “disciples”. Gordon being his “greatest asset” and disciple while amanda and Hoffman eventually twisted jigsaws teachings to their own will. Amanda’s being her emotions ie her death could be considered connected to her jealousy of John’s affections and attention towards others. When it comes to Hoffman and why I took so long to explain all that is that Hoffman has also developed a god complex made only worse by John’s death. He has no idea about John’s plan for a good min and zero idea about Gordon untill the end reveal. So he thinks if he can get rid of Jill he believes it will prove him superior to John and only validate his god complex. So to me the first trap is litterally Hoffman saying “hey yall! Yall know how John is dead to yall think jigsaw is gone? Welp no jigsaw is still here like a god and I am too. Idk I hope that makes sense. I’ve always been crazy in to the phycological elements that play in horror villains especially ones that have so much grounding in real world like John.
The guy who plays Hoffman, Costas Mandylor, is in one of my favorite movies: The Delta of Venus. It's complete erotica/softcore porn. LOL. But if you want to cleanse your palette watch that movie. He's soooo HAWT in it.

originally this was going to be a 2 parter but the 6th movie didnt make as much as expected so they had to cut it down to one at the last minute before filming. Guessing Hoffman would have been outed at the end of the first part and Gordon would have have a larger role
There was supposed to be a saw 8 which that trap with the woman hanging over the fan was gonna be in. I saw this in theaters and it was called only "saw 3D" but on DVD it was called "the final chapter". Midway through the movie production it was decided to end the series as it was losing money for each movie. So saw 8 was scrapped.

The pectoral muscles are strong enough to support the body's weight, but Bobby didn't put the hooks in deep enough. That is why they ripped out.

I think when Saw finally ends, it should give us a nice closure for Jigsaw. But this movie also did give us "Hip with the kids" backwards cap Jigsaw so I guess that's a positive. And very funny.

The two guys in the beginning trap helped Lawrence capture Hoffman at the end. One of the filmmakers confirmed this in a commentary.
Ok so if my memory serves me correct...there was supposed to be a Saw 7 and a Saw 8. But Saw 6 didnt do well at the box office so both premises of 7 and 8 were combined into one movie. Hence the random moments in the movie (ie: the lawnmower trap). Hopefully that helps. Didnt find this channel until recently. Love your Saw reactions and im gonna binge watch more of your reactions.

The last movie and the start of this movie shows that Hoffman has the strongest will to live out of most everyone else. It’s a cool concept for a villain in this franchise.

The trap from the beginning does come back. The two guys in that were the survivors of the trap are who helped Gordon take down Hoffman at the end. You probably won’t see this but that’s how it comes back. This was confirmed by the writer and the director.

My only issues with this movie are:
Bobby is insufferable (but honestly at this point it's kind of iconic haha. He's so dumb and fun to make fun of.) and I was annoyed by the spikes under his cage at the start of his test; they are not even remotely threatening... They couldn't have put the spikes closer together to make it more believable? Why is he swinging the cage? He can just carefully lower himself down! If anything, what he did is what made the spikes dangerous, cuz he could have landed flat on his dumb back on top of them haha.
second, Why the hell was Joyce killed??? I'm not one of those people that loses their mind when John bends his "rules", but Joyce is one of the most innocent characters we've seen in this series. She did not deserve any of this. She genuinely didn't know what was going on, was lied to by bobby and used, and then died for his sins. It was so bull. I would argue probably the most bull death in the entire franchise. I think the trap should have protected Joyce and done something to bobby outside of it, while she was being held inside.
The whole movie feels like the director just had a bad break up lol, he clearly just wanted to see some women tortured.

I enjoyed this movie and Matt Gibson was a great cop and had history with Hoffman which I liked. He was no Peter Strahm but he was good enough for this Chapter. This was the perfect ending leaving Hoffman's fate open. The Hoffman actor keeps saying Hoffman is still alive and I agree with him :D he's an escape artist. I can't wait for y'all to react to JIGSAW. Jigsaw does sort of connect to the OG movies. Spiral I did NOT like lmao. Jigsaw's twist got me the most.

Just in case don't tell you: But the two men in the first trap are the two pigs who team up with Doctor Gordon when they overpower Mark Hofman when the building explodes..That was actually the original idea and the makers wanted to Two part finale, but unfortunately that never happened because this film unfortunately did not earn enough in the cinema and DVD release.

Yall talking about the opening trap. CZ’s World I think is who I was watching that helped me develop my opinion. When talking about John on a psychological level by the end has developed a full blown god complex. That’s why he had so many “disciples”. Gordon being his “greatest asset” and disciple while amanda and Hoffman eventually twisted jigsaws teachings to their own will. Amanda’s being her emotions ie her death could be considered connected to her jealousy of John’s affections and attention towards others. When it comes to Hoffman and why I took so long to explain all that is that Hoffman has also developed a god complex made only worse by John’s death. He has no idea about John’s plan for a good min and zero idea about Gordon untill the end reveal. So he thinks if he can get rid of Jill he believes it will prove him superior to John and only validate his god complex. So to me the first trap is litterally Hoffman saying “hey yall! Yall know how John is dead to yall think jigsaw is gone? Welp no jigsaw is still here like a god and I am too. Idk I hope that makes sense. I’ve always been crazy in to the phycological elements that play in horror villains especially ones that have so much grounding in real world like John.

originally this was going to be a 2 parter but the 6th movie didnt make as much as expected so they had to cut it down to one at the last minute before filming.
Guessing Hoffman would have been outed at the end of the first part and Gordon would have have a larger role

This movie was cheesy but if you have seen the other Saw movies it's still good because the franchise as a whole is good.
There was supposed to be a saw 8 which that trap with the woman hanging over the fan was gonna be in. I saw this in theaters and it was called only "saw 3D" but on DVD it was called "the final chapter". Midway through the movie production it was decided to end the series as it was losing money for each movie. So saw 8 was scrapped.
