I drove through Nebraska on 80 east now to Michigan and swear to you my friend and I seen these weird lights coming from the side of a mountain nothing around and it was like 3am or so. So I sped up and started speeding then all of the sudden started sliding on the freeway. This was before I knew about black ice. So pulled over off the next exit and parked next to a bunch of semis fell asleep when we woke up nothing but snow everywhere. Thought I'd share my story
Did food service downtown for a few months while I trained. My first stop was across the street from the sears tower. Luckily it was at night and only a pup because by morning it was a shit show and I had never driven a truck before lol

Dang! What a good time to truck! back when I was doing it with my fella there wasn’t such a thing as Uber. We sold the truck in 98’ due to his health. I only put in 5 years riding shotgun. It was fun! But all those industrial area’s, absolutely no where to grab a bite. Especially at night. Stay put in those days. Uber would have been a great experience then. Love these video’s! Miss the road.
Made a delivery into the inner loop of downtown chicago on my first month of driving. The skyscrapers look pretty, but navigating a truck there wasn't pretty. (Delivered concrete floor tiles to a skyscraper construction site.)

I do live in Nebraska. And yes. There is nothing out there. You can drive for hours and still see the same fields. But I’m glad I live in Omaha. Lol.

So......out of curiosity what is the penalty for not being able to pay that toll??? I think it's bizarre that you had legal tender and they refused. Made me look up money laws. Strange we print currency that should be legally accepted everywhere and someone can just be like...NOPE.
HEY FRESHMAN so they give you a little paper where you can pay for the toll online. There is only a penalty if you pay it past the date. Yeah it's so weird how they don't accept 100s. There are even tolls in Florida that only accept coins, no paper money at all.
Next time you're on an IL tollway, just drive through the I Pass lane and keep track of the plaza, just pay online in less than a week

1.9 Million People live in Nebraska. Almost a million live in the metro area of Omaha. Besides Lincoln, Grande Island, Kearney and North Platte there really is zero civilization in Western Nebraska. Omaha is basically the equivalent of NYC to Nebraskans lol
