Modal SKULPT and Micro Freak - Friday Fun Synth Jam

- We confess, the Modal Electronics SKULPT got hidden behind something else on our instrument racks - it being so small, but we rediscovered it during a long overdue studio clearup. We thought we'd pair it up with the Arturia MicroFreak, stick them both into the Ventris Dual Reverb (a favourite of ours for its routing flexibility and well, the sound)
The Micro Freak is supplying the mono bass sound - has a Chemical Brothers vibe to it we think, and the SKULPT the harmonic pads.

Great stuff! I’m really liking the look of both of these synths. The micro freak is particularly of interest seeing how easy and reversible it is to turn it into a module.

Is there some kind of sync between the two? There's a yellow cable there but you're playing them independently. Is it to keep the LFOs clocked or similar?

Awesome Nick! I'll get my Skulpt next month! Really love the fact that Modal is from Bristol, where I spend my summer holidays. The Mirco is on my wishlist, too. I suppose those two are perfect for Lofi Ambient or Synthwave projects.
Does this work well with native instruments vst and kontact player ? Does faders words well with these native instruments vst ?

The Skulpt and Microfreak are so insanely powerful for the price. I’m highly considering the Skulpt over the Argon8 just for the price tag but loosing the extra wavetables and 4 voices kinda stings. Anyone own a Skulpt that can vouch for it being as good as it seems?
If you're thoughtful about modulation routings it has longevity

Tried out a Skulpt, sounds great and the ability to do chords is so useful, but it just wasn't any fun, no clue what it was.
Using it with the app is almost imperative.
Sometimes you gotta read the manual

Nice to see/hear side by side after I decided on the Freak over the Skulpt because I am poor and am forced to make such decisions. :( Considering a Kraft Synth as a consolation prize... that's right Kraft not Krave because again I am poor.
