That's some smart thinking by the lead singer to do just that. It helps make a song sound better regardless of if it's recorded in studio or performed live.
@Brian Peterson This is true. The bassist left the band not long after the first album came out, I think. Second record had one hit but then they fizzled out.
They’re currently writing more music, it all really stems from the idea that they really slowed down with releases, especially when they stepped out to do their own things
Excellent job on the screaming part. He sounds pretty damn close to the album version. You can tell his voice is a little strained but these guys knew how to rock. I miss the commercial that use to come on where they would advertise the hits of the year and this song would be on there.
Downfall has the greatest intro of all time period . I don't care what classic song u name it can't match downfalls perfect blend of heavy aggressive riffs and beautiful melodies , Trust Company was an amazing band criminally underrated , One of the best bands of the 21rst century
Salem Official it's pretty damn awesome. You need to expand your horizons a bit though. This song is ridiculously good, if kind of uninspired. I wish they had a guy to sing the harmonies. Especially on "Away" because that high note makes the whole song.
I been following these guys since 2002. Downfall is an awesome song and best one off the album imo. I like these older type of songs that we don't hear anymore. IE: Savage Garden "Black Hole Sun" and Vertical Horizon "Everything You Want". I wish these styles of music would return....
SOUNDGARDEN did Black Hole Sun.... Savage Garden was a pop band. LMAOOOO Honest mistake, I know but the idea of Soundgarden trying to play "I Want You" from the other group just makes me laaaaaaugh. That was great. Thanks dude. :D
These dudes just popped up on my Spotify! Haven’t listened to them in years! Yeah, I used to watch Conan back then just to see the bands playing. Now... not so much.
These guys are great. They're local to me. Our band has played a show with them and I try to catch them when they play around here. They're always solid. I've played a few cover shows with their drummer Jason and he's obscenely good. You become a better player on stage when he's playing!
this band is great trustcomany used to play my hometown of Pensacola I saw them in 04 my first show I was 14 ..my older brother has Mutual friends with all the members..
apples 88 😀 It is not only their best album but for me one of the best albums ever, period. Most of the fans seem to treasure ILAD more but although it’s good it doesn’t compare for me. I think they were too young to appreciate the debut. It’s a masterpiece, especially how it came together so quickly after the band formed.
Im disappointed, at 2:18 there should be a 2nd scream "CAN I BREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAK AWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY", from the main guitarist, but it wasnt. >:(
They missed a huge scream going into 2:17 . Should be like: "dddddddDDDDDOOOOWN, I BREAK AWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" But dam, this song still hits! Pretty much sounds like the album.
I love these guys. Favorite band...seen them live recently and Kevin, lead singer, had food poinsoning and almost did not make it. He showed up like 30 mins before show time and he was still sick. After they performed and he sweated it all out of his sytem, he felt great. I was soooo fucking happy he made it. This band is great and they really know how to perform. I wish they were bigger; they deserve it! :D
Well, there are times where he sort of backs away from the mic, particularly when he's screaming, so that the volume of his voice sounds generally the same throughout the song (since his screaming would probably be louder than his singing)... personally, I wish he hadn't, but that's just me. LoL. :)
This would never happen on any tonight show. Ever again.
Yeah, unfortunately the public's interest in heavy and angsty music has waned significant over the years.
John Doe Well at least we got Disturbed on Conan, even if it was for the SoS.
Aye 😞
I mean...Kimmel just had Slipknot on.
Conan always had the best music acts on the old show.
i like how he steps back a bit when he screams so that the overall vocal sound is equalized
That's some smart thinking by the lead singer to do just that. It helps make a song sound better regardless of if it's recorded in studio or performed live.
It’s also because he sings so quietly that the mic gain is turned up a lot so if he screamed straight into the mic it might blow our ears out
I like his little mouth he makes when he screams
@@roccot3872 LMFAO! I was thinking the same thing :o
@@roccot3872 It's just like "OOOOOOOO"
Still surprised this band never rose through the ranks like breaking Benjamin or three days grace
same its sad
@Brian Peterson This is true. The bassist left the band not long after the first album came out, I think. Second record had one hit but then they fizzled out.
Discovered them recently- they very quickly disbanded for other projects… for whichever reasons
They’re currently writing more music, it all really stems from the idea that they really slowed down with releases, especially when they stepped out to do their own things
They definitely would have deserved it. They have such a unique sound and they do it well
The chorus of this song is amazing.
Ikr. And the melody just gives me this fake nostalgia even though I've never heard the song before. I wasn't even alive during these times lol
The bass🔥
Ibanez sr990, sansamp di, swr 8x10
Damn almost 10 years later and this is still one of my favorite songs
But now? Since 20 years. :')
@@oniscenco I would do the same comment
the song just kicks ass
Now?
It's Almost 18 years now
wow they are really good live! I'm impressed
this guy have no voice cmon...
@@ismaparra everything else though is great. The original live version would be really hard to sing.
@@ismaparra its called falsete.
@@ismaparra dude it's exactly the same as on the disc, just a little lower
Excellent job on the screaming part. He sounds pretty damn close to the album version. You can tell his voice is a little strained but these guys knew how to rock. I miss the commercial that use to come on where they would advertise the hits of the year and this song would be on there.
Lonely Position of Neutral remains to be my favorite album to this day!
A very good album for sure.
Downfall has the greatest intro of all time period . I don't care what classic song u name it can't match downfalls perfect blend of heavy aggressive riffs and beautiful melodies , Trust Company was an amazing band criminally underrated , One of the best bands of the 21rst century
They didn't have any other song that was as good as this one.
Yes! Intro is badass! One high hat hit right into it. Greeeeeeaaaat song!!!!!
Salem Official it's pretty damn awesome. You need to expand your horizons a bit though. This song is ridiculously good, if kind of uninspired. I wish they had a guy to sing the harmonies. Especially on "Away" because that high note makes the whole song.
Salem Official be quiet and drive intro
Functionalist
You clearly never listened to the album ....
2022 Trust Company still Rocks 🎸 😎
still watching this after 18years! goosebumps
No harmonies in the chorus WTF? still sounded tight
I was going to say the same thing...and I thought the guitarist screamed on the lead in to the last chorus 🤔 he had a mic and rarely used it. 🤷♂️
This always puzzles me
thats nu metal for you🤘🏾
Song was way ahead of its time...still exceeds today
goosebumps still after so many years! Glad they're back on tour! They need to set up a gofundme and well help them get back in studio.
Totally
Those octave leads really send off that last chorus.
WWE Vengeance 2002
Chris Jericho you sir, unmade the list. 👍👍👍

Ah the early 2000's, gotta love the alt rock scene back then.

That Bass tone has Sansamp written all over.

Disney Extreme Skate Adventure
20 YEARS ago. Goddamn. I was 13 when I discovered this and now 32. Hoping for a new album soon since they have not yet called it quits
2:18 is awesome!

i love this song
A band that should have been sooooooooo much bigger...Still a top 10 album for me!
This song was huge when I was in college. Awesome song and awesome performance.
This song was one of the founding songs that got me so involved with rock. In a sense, this song helped me grow up so much!
Great job nothing...that was Awesome!!!! playing it again!
where the hell is the second voice damn! !!
sickobrakai that's what I said... it's a shame.
There’s a second mic there too. Sucks
They said to use your imagination
Why in the hell does the second guitar player have a microphone if he's not singing?
will always love trust company
This band is AMAZING. And for everyone who doesn't know, they ARE back. NEW album in February of 2011!
Killer song and Band🤘🏼
amazing! this band is badass! although i think fukai shoud've done his backup vocals. hes what makes the chorus sound amazing :-)
God I love this song so much
this band is great trustcomany used to play my hometown of Pensacola I saw them in 04 my first show I was 14 ..my older brother has Mutual friends with all the members..
drummer rock'n The Used t-shirt. Oh the memories...
chanceux Buried Myself Alive and Noise and Kisses are 2 of my favorite songs ever. Love that he’s wearing the shirt
@@badflowerblossom228 their self titled album was their best imo

this is one of those songs i had one tape, no idea who the band was id just listen on repeat. i love this shit. brings me back to being 13.
Saw these guys at my first concert ever. They opened for Korn and Disturbed. It was 2002.
"The Used "s tshirt the drummer is wearing :)
they have great stage moves :)
I love The Used! He’s so awesome for wearing the shirt on national tv
That tone at 2:05... beautiful
That bass made my chest hair grow at age 31

one of the best bands of all time where did all the good bands go come back TC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
greatest performance I've heard from TRust Co.
every single song was wicked good.
Geez. This song brings so much memories. ROFL like when I broke my foot skating.
Love this band!
Im disappointed, at 2:18 there should be a 2nd scream "CAN I BREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAK AWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY", from the main guitarist, but it wasnt. >:(

Got a new album coming out in September. Can't wait! They did good here live!
awesome !
yeah downfall i love it
Sweet this was on my birthday
he always sounds like he's out of breath when he sings, i assumed he had to run to the studio to record his vocals when i heard the album
They missed a huge scream going into 2:17 . Should be like:
"dddddddDDDDDOOOOWN, I BREAK AWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"
But dam, this song still hits! Pretty much sounds like the album.
shit! gave me chills! sounds great live! his vocal approach is unique!!

Anyone watching in 2022?
one of the BEST rock songs of all time
MAKE ME FALL! JUST SO SEE! THE ANOTHER SIDE OF ME! the song is super awesome in this part
Its amazing, isn't it? He sounds so close to studio quality, yet it probably does not translate well to this setting at all. I am still impressed.
2021 :)🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
MX Unleashed Boisssss
BRAVAZO ESTE GRUPO
100% TRUSCOMPANY
EPIC!
Yo, even though this video I saw back in 2002, he has some similarities of the lead singer Chester of Linkin park
I’ve noticed that when he screams. Sounds just like him.
fucking awesome.
@jgonzalezpaulsen they do have the energy thats required for a good live performance
@craigime yeah, he looks young til today. And most of the bands that i listen to have played on conan. Deftones, trust company and jimmy eat world.
this was on my birthday I was 12 back then so.
