    I love Master Chef Canada, too! All three of these judges are great but I really like Alvin's role because he plays the Joe Bastianich role being the scarier judge. It's funny.

      breakaway2x Alvin is not so much like Joe but I get your point. Joe is not even chef tho ...

      @Im3wB the casting director was probably looking for someone to play the mean one because it adds nice dynamic and variety to the group of judges.....Graham Elliot was the softer side personality to balance it

      @Im3wB that's TV. I don't think he's really like that.

    One question I would have asked is: Is there a chance that Canada will soon host a Masterchef Jr competition? There are a few very talented young people I'm already keeping an eye on both here on youtube, and on twitter.

    I love the judges! Just watched a lot of MC Canada and what a great show but scary the level of skill required to cook for these guys. I won't apply for entry for sure!

    I disagree when they said that presentation is not a key element for the home cook, usually. If you cook for kids, presentation is a great way to get kids to eat. My grandchildren love their food when I cook and present their meals, because I go that extra mile to make it pretty, thought provoking, amusing or, just a tad different from mom's presentation. I also often get the kids to help me choose and prep what to have for a meal, and I find them more likely to eat if they have invested some kind of ownership in the meal.
