    The award-winning story of IN THIS CORNER OF THE WORLD follows a young lady named Suzu Urano, who in 1944 moves to the small town of Kure in Hiroshima to live with her husband’s family. Suzu’s life is thrown into chaos when her town is bombed during World War II. Her perseverance and courage underpin this heart-warming and inspirational tale of the everyday challenges faced by the Japanese in the midst of a violent, war-torn country. This beautiful yet poignant tale shows that even in the face of adversity and loss, people can come together and rebuild their lives.

    Hiyo and Junyo from what I know were considered Light Carriers from what I recall and were small compared to Carriers like Akagi and Shokaku. But to be fair all of Japan's big carriers are with Davy Jones Locker at this point

    • @kaltenstein7718
      @kaltenstein7718 Před rokem +2

      there are 3 carriers shown in the picture, the largest of them likely is supposed to be Katsuragi, one of the Uryu class Fleet carriers build during the War that was heavily Damaged while in Kure Harbour.

    • @thenumbah1birdman
      @thenumbah1birdman Před 9 měsíci +1

      Hiyo and Junyo are inbetween a light and fleet carrier. Smaller and slower than a fleet carrier, slightly smaller airwings, and larger and more capable than a light carrier (i.e. Chiyoda, Ryujo). The one here is probably an Unryu class-the Japanese built 2 to completion and a couple others to near completion but they had no pilots to fly planes off of them.

    Ahh the Yamato, the greatest warship ever built in human history.
    It never got its desired fight and 3 of 4 of the Yamatos got destroyed by threats that they couldn't deal with, Yamato and Musashi by Naval Aviation and the Shinano by a submarine.
    The last Yamato was never completed.

      the funny thing is, the only time she got to fire her main guns was at leyte gulf, where an extremely underpowered american task force (taffy 3) pulled a one over on it, and she was ultimately beaten by aircraft carriers. it's a shame that IJN high command didn't have enough faith in carrier based combat as yamamoto did.

    • @TheStormglass
      @TheStormglass Před rokem

      In true fleet combat, battleships of this class have a range of over 20 miles. Assuming the battle is scaled correctly, your destroyer will be out of range for 30 minutes. Also, in actual battles, ships of this class are the main force of a fleet, so they act as a "fleet" with 10 or more companions.

    籠池泰典の長男である籠池佳茂が「月刊Hanada2018年9月号」で意見を180度変えて安倍総理に謝罪している。自分と両親が間違っていたと素直に認めており、
    衝撃の内容となっている。
    小川榮太郎氏との対談で衝撃の発言が飛び出す。
    籠池佳茂はおおまかには次のように語っている。
    ・私だけでなく両親も安倍夫妻に謝らなければならない
    ・元々は安倍総理支持派だったのにマスコミから逃れたい一心で方向性を変えた
    ※マスコミに「極右の学校」とバッシングされたので、正反対の反安倍総理派に切り替えた
    ・これは私と両親の判断ミスだった
    ・ここまでの騒ぎになるとは思っていなかった
    ・ボタンの掛け違いでずっとここまで来てしまった
    ・自分たちがしたことだから責任はとる覚悟はある
    森友学園問題が一段落したこのタイミングでまさかここまでの心境の変化があろうとは。籠池理事長は安倍総理と昭恵夫人も共犯だとして理屈の通らない証言を
    行い、道連れにしようとしていた。籠池佳茂が両親も謝らなければならないと言っているのはこの点だろう。
    反安倍包囲網の一角が崩れた!パヨクパニック!
