Great considerations and advice 👍 We love FL (we're a little further south of St. Pete), but as we tell friends and relatives, it's not for everyone. Different areas of FL have unique personalities, it's a tropical to sub tropical climate, population explosion during snowbird season, the different wildlife than you'll find up north, etc. Always best to do as much research and visit different areas before making the commitment.

Thanks! I agree with you - different areas do have unique personalities for sure!! I also think that living in FL is very different than visiting, so I totally agree that doing research is a great way to better understand the areas. Glad to hear you love FL!

Its not so much the bugs. Its the people who live around there. Angry, bitter people including toll operators. By the way if you get too close to a toll bridge but decide you don't want to cross they won't let you turn around unless you pay to go across. They love to rip you off whenever and where ever possible.
