Anyone catch that we made six stops instead of five? The shuffleboard club is only open Friday evenings to non-members we kept it as a bonus.
I love St. Pete. I go to Tampa once a year to visit my family. I always make time to go and hangout in St. Pete. Beautiful city

one could also go the city park across the street from the Princess Martha and hang with the homeless. just saying as a former resident.
Like the biking option...Dali..he was a very controversial artist. Loved the video edits.
Thanks! St Pete is starting to expand the bike lanes. Near the pier it's really easy to bike around. They didn't even mention the Dali controversy at the museum 😳

@@TheDetourDuo My family & I vacationed in St Petersburg in 1992 & I Said, "Let's move to St Petersburg." My husband was able to get a job here in 2004 & with 2 boys, we moved from San Diego. The BEST thing ever. And our sons are grown, own property & Love it here.
Hey!!! That's my childhood hometown!! You highlighted some AMAZING spot. Others of ny fave include: crescent lake park, biking along the old ne/coffepot bayou trail, maximo bay park, the pink streets (in Pinellas point!), boys hill nature park and weedon Island.
Next, y'all gotta do a weekend trip here in my new town, Lakeland, FL!!! You'll love it!! :)
we walk around crescent lake park everyday! Lakeland is on our list actually! If you have some great recommendations for the area that would be amazing!
@The Detour Duo i sure do!!! For Lakeland, i recommend the following:
-Bonnet springs park-free and HUGE
-Circle B nature preserve-also free and huge and you WILL see alligators along the trail
-Hollis gardens/lake mirror promenade-free
-Lake morton (if u want to see our fanous swans!)-free
-polk museum of art (free and next to lake morton)
-lakeland history center is a small free museum housed in the lakeland library next to the polk museum of art
-Architectural tour of fl Southern College-it was designed by frank lloyd wright and its stunning!!)-i think $30 or $40??
-Film/ performance at polk theater prices very
-Saturday morning market in downtown/near munn park (off kentcky Ave, its huge and incredible!!)
-Scout n tag boutique in downtownis super fun
-theres free weekend parking in the downtown city garages, as well as the adjacent lake mirror area
Food/bev
-You HAVE to go to Born N Bread Bakery (open on sats)...theres typically a line out the door, but their pastries and coffee are WORTH IT!!!
-Concord coffee-right by born n bread
-swan brewing near downtown/lake wire is super cool!...you can also go to descent brewing, in downtown
-revival bar, for craft cocktails
-mr fish is a landmark and makes tasty fish sandwiches
-1961 is a place i def recommend if u like tapas and spanish cuisine
-harrys is amazing New orleans cuisine
The joinery is an excellent food hall
-pressed bookstore and tea shop is super quaint and has a really cool atmosphere
Misc:
-a little bit of a drive, but the sun n fun air museum on the outskirts of town is supposed to be pretty cool (ive never been)
-if you like tim burton films, go check out the southgate shopping center (the retro neon sign and location was filmed for edward scizzor hands)
-if u plan to stay for the weekend, I'd recommend doing the events near downtown on a sat, and either bonet springs or circle b on a sunday. I'd recommend the terrace hotel in downtown
