  • Today we have in the workshop with a rather unusual problem on a Citroen C4 Picasso with Fault Code U1F3A which causes the Windscreen wipers to work non stop even when the engine is switched off, key out of the ignition & locked! If you have one of these with the same problem and diagnostic tools are reporting ‘No communication with wiper motor’ check this video out & it may save you some time & money repairing!

    Great video & informative. Autel uses stolen Snap-on software & that's why its fast.

      @@julianfisher6134 Thanks! I’m pretty sure Autel & Snapon have both reverse engineered Diagbox to be honest, I have noticed that Autel actually have more functions on PSA than Snapon & also have ‘Topology’ whereas Snapon hasn’t yet incorporated it, unless I’m wrong - I moved on from Snapon a long time ago!

    Thanks, nice video. I have same problem on Peugeot 508. Broken inside purple Lin cable close to master motor. On osciloscope signal was ok. Multimeter shows the problem.

    I heard you say ‘this evening’ - jeezzz. A late one on this French dream 😝. Worth viewers noting continuity testing doesn’t show a short to ground etc.

      Indeed these French ‘dream cars’ can keep us occupied for hours into the later hours!, and yes I agree continuity testing doesn’t always show the whole story.. hopefully I will cover other electrical testing in future videos & Thanks for watching & for your comment!

      Sorry, I’m not quite sure what you mean, are you asking how to do a BSI reset? - there is quite a lot of information on the web & CZcams that goes into detail on this subject…

    I have a DS4 with faulty fuse box on the engine bay, replaced that, fixed everything, but the wiper blades in the front now don't come on 🫥

    • @JC-ECUConnection
      @JC-ECUConnection  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Oh no! I would start with the basics, confirm all fuses are OK, also double check the part number of the BSM & ensure it is the correct one for your car & then it’s time for a full diagnostic scan & get the wiring diagrams out…

      @@JC-ECUConnection these above engine fuse boxes are apparently common to go, mine went all intermittent wiper wiper blade issues, EML coming on, then finally the front two head lights not coming on. I contacted the main dealer, they said it's ~6 weeks back order?! I found an after market one, once replaced, everything works fine, apart from front wipers coming on. Apparently I need to do a diag & tell the car computer the car has wipers & it will all work?! The older Diag box versions were free to do this, new Citroen diag program charge €45 euro for each plug in or something & you get 2 weeks to work on each plug in, if I get to the bottom of it, I'll update via here.
