If you think "nothing actually happens" it's because you haven't been paying attention to the reports. Or do you think everyone on Earth is required by law to phone you up to make SURE you are aware every time they do anything?
      Ah, you do? Ok, well...
I am typing a sentence. And then I am going to click "Reply". And then I am going to click the little "x" on the tab. And then I am going to get my french bread pizza out of the oven. And then I am going to put it on a plate. And then I am going to eat the pizza. And then I am going to... oops I forgot to tell you that the pizza is Stouffers and is the "Deluxe" variety. And I forgot to tell you that the plate is blue. And then...
You know what? If I have to report every action of my life to you, I will have very little time to DO anything because I'll end up just reporting that I wrote my report to you. Maybe I could do my work and not bother telling a random person on the internet every step I take. And maybe no one else is required to tell you, random internet person, about every move they make in their work.

The purpose of bringing mammoths according to science, is the reason Bisons were brought back. The millions of bison that roamed the prairies allowed the soil to compact and allow other species of plants to grow. Mammoths would perform a similar functions to bison in the tundras that would prevent greenhouse gases from escaping the permafrost and further deterioration of the tundra itself from sinking in compacting as herds the top soil.

Like the elephants, all of the a animals, look out how they just killed a mountain lion because of a hunter being in it's territory and that's what the wild does, they protect their terroritory from anyone coming into it, read a book about them. We don't allow what's out there to live, we go in their habitat and expect them to leave us alone, that's unnatural, these are not trained puppies out there, they have their natural instincts taught to them by their parents and siblings. We can't bring something back that doesn't belong in this world.

Introducing new species to new habitats always leads to an invasive species…why would you put one of the largest mammals in history, and just shove them out into the world just because you wanted to. So many irresponsible humans these days.

*Mammoths aren’t an invasive species.* They’re actually an important keystone species that died out due to over-hunting by humans.
Mammoths are actually being brought back to restore an important ecosystem. This is us trying to fix what we broke.

Some studies are now pointing to changes in climate as the main driver for mega fauna extinction. Makes more sense as there were not many ancient humans as a population. And there is only so much you can do with wood, fire and stone.

To anyone who thinks that this will harm the environment or anyone drawing Jurassic Park comparisons. READ THIS…
A huge misconception that many have is that Mammoths are prehistoric. They are not comparable to the resurrection of dinosaurs. Many people don’t know this, but Mammoths are actually missing from our CURRENT ecosystem. They only went extinct 10,000 years ago. They have been living alongside our wolves, cougars, bears, everything for millions of years. They are a missing piece of our ecosystem. Bringing back mammoths is habitat restoration
If you still have doubts, we have done this before. An example in America is the reintroduction of Bison (buffalo). The Bison when reintroduced massively boosted the ecosystem. We saw a huge increase of the health of larger animal populations such as wolves, but not only that, the return of various fauna and flora to the area. The grass was healthier even
Not to mention the economic benefits. Ecotourism would be thriving, as well as it would create a huge boost of interest and investment into bio research
This is objectively a great thing

The plant life has changed so much. All the plants used to be enormous.
That's what is needed to sustain the lives of all the massive creatures from the past. That's why they're not around anymore.
If they do this, the poor creatures will have to live out their lives in captivity.
They are not thinking of the well being of the animals.
