    I added a lithium battery to my 320 because it accepts charge more quickly. Because it's easy to move around and won't harm my clothing when moving it. For the higher working voltage, (12.8). my inverter likes that. The original power converter in the 320 will be slow to get a lithium battery fully charged, but will overcharge one in less than a week. Avoid overcharge by doing rested battery voltage checks with a multimeter. Or buy a power converter like Jenn.

    I'm fortunate to have a 3-way fridge (2019 T@B) and when boon-docking in the desert or the Sierras, propane is VERY efficient. I have a good Zurn solar cell system that charges two 6V Glass Mesh batteries connected in series. This allows us to watch movies at night even if we stay out for days. Indeed, most people do not need Lithium. A Jack-e-up and a lock-n-roll hitch/coupler are my best up-grades.

    I have a Goal Zero Yeti 1500x lithium power station. There are options for recharging to conserve the life of the battery. The “Battery Saver” setting only charges it to 85%. So for folks interested in upgrading to lithium but don’t want to upgrade their converter, it’s not necessarily a bad thing that they can’t 100% top off their lithium battery. When I am not using my power station, I keep it in Battery Saver mode and then switch it to 100% charge right before a trip. Someday I’ll upgrade my 320 with installed lithium when life allows me to camp longer 🙏🏻

    Nice video Jenn. We are thinking about coming back to a T@b 320S. I already own two BB Lithium batteries. My intention was to do a drop in replacement swapping the battery the dealer puts in with the two Battle Borns. However, I asked nuCamp if the two batteries would fit in the box with the propane tank. They said no. We were looking at a 22 or 23 model, and I don’t think that 100ah would last very long with the 12v fridge when camping off grid for very long. I appreciate any feedback you can give me on this dilemma. Thanks! Bob Burns

    I'm seeing that the WF-8735LiS that you got is not generally available anymore, and WFCO is pushing the AD (auto detect) series like the WF-8725-AD that came with my 2023 Tab 320 s BD. I picked up a Dr. Prepare 100AH battery but I'm not impressed so far with either WFCO's auto detect or the information they information they provide on their products. From what I've been seeing in forums, a lot of dealers don't really understand lithium installation and optimization - and traveling to Ohio to get real expertise isn't a viable option for most of us.

    Hi Jenn. I just watched your upgrade lithium battery video. I know nothing about the solar stuff. I just purchased the Barefoot camper and it came with 100 ah BB lithium battery, exterior solar port located in the Nautilus, and a converter that detects battery type. So if I want to add 200w of solar panels, is it a plug n play situation? I don’t boondock but occasionally will dry camp. I’m worried about how much I can use the battery. I can monitor using the Victron app on phone but I don’t know what levels stay above or monitor and certainly don’t want to ruin anything on my first trip out. If I camp for 3 days NOT using fridge but using the Alde and few usb charge outlets, would I most likely be ok? Not sure I even need solar as I’m always plugged in but for $300 it would be worth it. Jen did you hear what Texas legislation is doing about rvers overnight camping they're trying to make it against the law. I found it on driving and vibing Channel on CZcams. It might be worth checking out.

      Terry, this isn't going to impact campers, it's intended to make Austin safer: thetexan.news/aimed-at-austins-homelessness-texas-legislature-poised-to-ban-public-camping/

    Jen, did you consider the Renogy lithium batteries?

    • @JennGroverPhotography
      @JennGroverPhotography  Před 3 lety +1

      I did. From what I have read due to the BMS you don't get the full ah as advertised and they were a few lbs heavier and a little bigger size.I don't hink Renogy is a bad choice, just not for me.

    Why did you get 2 105 amp batteries?

    • @JennGroverPhotography
      @JennGroverPhotography  Před 2 lety +1

      They are 12v and I am running them in parallel. That gives me 210ah of battery capacity.

      @@JennGroverPhotography Thanks Jenn! We’re trying hard to get all this understood. It was probably a dumb question, but that’s where we’re at. We fried our lead acid battery already on our 2022 320S, and are at square one again.

      Hi Jen, But why not just get one 12v 200ah battery? We are thinking about putting our lithium in the front bin. We found SOK with a built in heater.

      Size and weight were 3 of the biggest factors. Also, the Lion Energy battery had the highest continuous discharge current (150 A) at the time which would be important if I decide to use h8gher powered inverters and electronics.

      @@JennGroverPhotography Thanks! We really appreciate your info. We saw a 320S owner who put one 12v 100ah in the Drivers side inside box! I'll be measuring to see if the larger 200ah will fit there. I see what you mean about the 2 lions fitting where you put them. It's pretty tight (perfect). Seems like all these lithium batteries are different sizes.
