pool in the 90s was so much better than present time. All the flashy shirts, ads and sponsors, every pro wears a black glove and the crowd is so obnoxious

Man.... there was a little period of time, when Efren was REALLY in his Prime.... say from 1978 to 2007, he was nearly unbeatable. 🤣🤣
Seriously tho, that's what separates Reyes from the other Legends... his longevity of GREATNESS is second to none.
At least IMO, I know the Pearl, Siegel, Archer and Varner were ALL incredible champions and all had periods of domination. More so Siegel and Earl, but my point is Reyes not only was STILL winning and beating the best in 9 Ball for decades.... the difference was he Beat EVERYBODY in 8 Ball, Carom, he OWNED in One Pocket and he even dabbled in Straight Pool winning one Tourament where he Beat Siegel and CJ Wiley. He didn't even know all the rules at the beginning of the Tourament but by the end he had certainly figured it out.... with a nice little 143 run to win the whole thing. Lol
There can only be one GOAT and Efren Reyes is the name.

That's the thing. The break is as much luck as skill .. Efren isn't lucky.. though accused of being luck..... he's very skilled... think of it... his break has always been sub-par... But, he's a world champion... still one of the best ever..... and not for the break

@@jamestrads497 prime efren was when he was 20-30 years old in manila. No one would play him and so he stopped playing pool. After that he went to US to hustle at around age 32. Get the point? Who's ignorant?
