That’s clean bro!! Sometimes, I’ll take that same sample and filter out all the highs and use THAT as a bassline.

I’m gonna subscribe.. Tech support every I go from Trim mode , press the Tab , to select Chop! My Manual Chop doesn’t work .. instantly unless .. I press Shift .. and select the 1 shot tab ..
So can’t immediately lazy chop soon as I Trim and discard a sample ..
It’s like MPC one is cut off .. every time I power up.. Can you help plz

🔥🔥🔥 Sample. So you just used an 808 in a keygroup on this one? Sometimes I’ll find a bass sample in the same key and chop it up and play it along with my beat too. Had some come out dope like that. There’s so many ways to do baselines. What filter you using on this one too?
Yessir, the bass sample technique works well too if you roll off some of the bass frequencies off in the sample. I use Air KillEq on the main sample and The TouchFX LPF with a Delay Pro on the breakdown.

Isolate the bass in the loop > ableton audio to midi (melody) > adjust midi > bass plugin 🎉

so did you keep the original bassline and added the 808 over it =? or did you use a high pass filter on the sample ?
I think I rolled a HPF to around 200khz so the original bass was still audible but not rumbling and saved space for the sub.
