I have a meme build with firewalker. For whatever reason, Merulina functions as a surface for the purpose of the fire trail, so Yareli can always create floating fire.

I already tried that with K-drive and Nezah when K-drive came out and it used to work with that so I don't see why it would work with Merulina cuz it's literally just K-drive code glued to her.

You should definitely try the first augment on the Yareli, which gives the rate of fire of the pistol, take Pyrana Prime and put 2 mistificators on the rate of fire of pistols and infinite ammo

try this in a exodia hunt with melee vortex setup, in theory you will drag enemies towards you and shred em with wattah. also arca triton could do the thing buuut heard it dosnt scale that high with capacitor stacks cus nerfhammermustdropandkilldafun

I've always loved Aquadblades, it's pretty fun on Ash for the stronger and longer slash procs from his passive. Combined with invisibility, it's a goofy but fun setup.

I think since Loyal Merulina is casting Sea Snares anyway, you could totally subsume over her first ability without really losing out on much. Maybe Condemn for even better survivability?
I also think Amar's Anguish might be better than Rush because you're still faster, but you don't run by enemies too fast. You have the option of teleporting with heavy attacks, and a bit of extra parkour speed for panic situations.

@@eclipsedarksouls6036 I've used pillage and it's really not as good as you think it is plus condemn is far better because it's a recastable crowd control thing and armor stripping isn't really all that necessary unless you're one of those sweat lords who get a short burst of dopamine from dealing with level cap enemies
Something for armour stripping is nice too. Terrify works well and Riptide counters the downside to Terrify. Terrify requires much less strength than Pillage for a full strip.

If you want to get really goofy with Aqua Blade Inaros, throw on Elemental Sandstorm. You can then proc enemies with Viral, making them take EVEN MORE DAMAGE

As for Caliban, you're better off replacing Razor Gyre with Aqua Blade.
Love the decorations on the arsenal, reminds me of that one Grineer defense mission with the 4 different objective spots.
Yes! Ever since the update the two frames I've been switching in between of most of the time are Mirage Prime and Yareli. I love how tanky Yareli is, I can use her to solo Netracells with absolutely no issue at all. So for now I have subbed her in for Inaros who was my usual go-to for Netracells. Merulina with the augment is kind of like Nezha's Warding Halo. I pop it on and got 90% dmg reduction. Just gotta keep an eye on it running out of HP, which can happen if you are in the crossfire of two or three eximus units while doing netracells.
Best thing is that I didn't really have her on my radar before she got her augment, so now it feels like I got a very nice surprise warframe to test out and fiddle with.
This build is so, SO much more fun since they changed the aqua blade throw animation from a full-body to upper body, I tried it on day one with the new aug and spamming your 3 just kept you locked in place or forced you to always be airborne

Yareli has to be one of my favorites because she's so out there as a warframe with her concept and abilities. I even have a kompressa riven with tons of multishot and viral on it, it's perfect for my vacuum build where it just sucks in all the enemies in a room. Combined with archon flow, you get tons of energy back, but you do kinda need some supplements for energy recharging. Might try this build out since I was planning on umbra formaing my yareli
I wish Loyal Merulina made the ability a tap/hold so that you could pick on the fly whether you want the k-drive or not (I also wish you didn't need to spend a mod slot on what should honestly be core functionality for the frame for the band-aidest band-aid update but alas).
I've been using my grimoire a hell of a lot of time since yareli's augment came out. The vulnerability makes the heavy attack from the grimoire just so satisfying.
I actually like using merulina like a kdrive but i am glad she is actually being used and that the mod isn't trash
I felt like the Loyal Merulina augment should've been part of her ability, like a tap & hold mechanic. :0

As for me though I love riding Merulina in every tileset to make all my enemies confused af, also new riven dropped for me & it's Kompressa...yay! :D
I've been playing Yarrli for years now. I don't minmax her at all, so I might try this, but the first thing i did was maxing duration to keep aquablades up because it's such a good ability.
I also gave it to my Rhino, comboing it with roar and iron skin feels so good 😂
To me, Loyal Merulina kinda feels like sacrilege, but surging blades seems like a fun playstyle
Since loyal merulina came out im having a ton of fun playing Yareli. My second favorite frame!
Yareli is my favourite warframe and has been since she was released.
Use Aquablades, then Riptide. Stand near the stack of enemies inside Riptide to build up Surging Blades' damage to insane levels very quickly. Toss one Surging Blade into the Riptide. Everything inside is now having the worst (and last) day of their lives. Works with or without Loyal Merulina.
I think a casting speed shard is great on her if you're going to be using Surging Blades. Don't use more than one though because it tends to bug out with high casting speed for some reason. I used to use Natural Talent but it bugged out way too often. When it bugs out it kind of becomes unusable for a bit, like you press the key and nothing happens. Sometimes putting your gun away seems to fix it.
Since Merulina casts Sea Snares, you can replace it with an armour strip ability like Terrify. You can use Terrify just before or after using Riptide to prevent the enemies from running away. Casting Styanax's Helminth ability into Riptide probably also works.
If you feel like partaking in some indoor surfing, the heal from Merulina Guardian procs Archon Intensify and you should be using it constantly so you pretty much always get the +30 power strength. It's like having two copies of normal Intensify equipped. Dodge roll through doors to keep your momentum. Double tap crouch to land fast. Don't "sprint" in halls or small rooms.
She makes a great melee frame now.
I run a build revolving around her passive. If you slap 5 red archon shards, you can dish out a single charged Epitaph shot that can deal aprox. 10 million damage without much buildup. Always loved her
Can do this with it off yarelli and not with shards haha
Gotta pepper in her 1 too. Puts a massive damage vulnerability effect on the enemies (Pet Merulina does it here and there by itself as well too but not as consistent)
I haven't deep scienced it, but I belive the vulnerability also affects enemies even when they're immune to the accompanying lift effect.

I have a similar set up using the new loyal Merulina augment. But I have gloom on her replacing her 4 and I don't use the augment for aqua blades. The set up is very melee friendly and its fun using the set up with fast melee weapon so you just become a moving blender
I'm a little bit disappointed we didn't see the Aquablade Inaros. Please build one and show us how it goes. I think it would be hilarious. I've played around with an Aquablade Limbo - it worked pretty good.
Another fun set-up to try is going all in with parkour velocity (Arcane Consequence/Agility, yelllow shards and Infested Mobility) on Loki, now that he gets a big movement speed boost from Switch Teleport, for some truly ridiculous bullet jumps.
Need to try some mods for enhancing bullet jump time too and see if it's possible to cross the Plains of Eidolon in a single jump XD
i think i said this in the augment video, "if you use loyal merelina, and loose the DR, then it wont be worth it." i'll now write those words, on my dinner and eat them, why? well the added CC the mod gives is quit good, and you dont loose the DR or status immunity you noramly get from merelina. so yeah, abselout must have mod for Yareli IMO. and GREAT video as always, really do love this style right know.

If you shoot a Kompresa bubble with the augment blade it will create a bubble of death
I'm yet to try Loyal Merulina, although I want to eventually. I'm more interested in her having 5 abilities, as it seems Merulina keeps casting Sea Snares even if you replace her 1 with a different ability. If I looked right, Merulina casts Sea Snares faster with negative duration, so that's curious as well.
On a different note, maybe you want to try this out:
When my friend was visiting and we played Warframe together, I thought of a curious build for Nyx (or Loki) that we tested out a little bit. Put Loki's Decoy into Nyx (or Mind Control into Loki) and use [Damage Decoy] augment. You can cast both Decoy and Mind Control on the same target (although you have to cast Decoy first, because it cancels Mind Control, but not vice versa for some reason). Enemies ganging on the target seems to up their Mind Control damage buff way more than you personally could, so you get more or less a supercharged minion that both deals and deflects damage.

I thought about aquablades on Inaros too but havent yet tried it, would love a video about it if its any good. For now i settled with Hydroids Tempest Barrage with the viral augment. Since its initial cast radius isnt affected by ability range its great together with sandstorm and basically insta strips armor with green archon shards while simultaneously priming with viral too. :D
if you are not using yareli's 4 you could go with narrow minded rather than primed cont because the her aqua blades are not affected by range.
I think because Yareli was so meme'd on so hard when she was first introduced, ANY build that cranks her up to 11 like this is just INSTANTLY delightful, no matter the context! XD
Adaptation is going to give far more survivability than 450 armor from shards. You'd be better off rebalancing the build around that and maybe layer on Health Conversion with Synth Deconstruct or something if you're missing the armor.
Use the shards to plug for Cast Speed, Strength, and Duration instead.
And, as another commenter said, Roar is perfect for scaling up the slash procs. In fact, I'm now thinking of subsuming this onto Rhino...wouldn't that be some silly fun...
Funny thing is I removed her first for hydroid and her kdrive creature became her pet and shoots those bubbles so it’s basically an extra ability slot 🤷♂️

Replace her first ability with nourish for energy but more importantly the vital blast when your hit so you have viral and slash for more damage
I run her with her 1 replaced by Airburst, then using Airburst Rounds and Loyal Merulina so she can benefit from her passive secondary crit buff plus damage buff after gathering enemies. Then it's just a case of nuking them with either a Sporelacer secondary kitgun or the Athodai alternate fire
Efficiency make merulina use sea snares faster, it can even cast every 0,5s so its funn to use

Interesting build. I had a thought while watching: loyal merulina makes your 2 cast your 1, so can't you then swap out your 1 for eclipse or gloom for more survivability? Or roar for more dps, or some grouping skill.
Not really cus efficiency lowers the cast cooldown and its better to replace 3 cus well what the hell does the 3 do

It's part of a new round of augments from the latest update, it's pretty new.
people sleep on her so much, she is actually quite great, and the real secret is that merulina is great for when you have the room for it, but she has a great kit without it too, so you dont need to always be riding it. Great for when you need the defense, or if you want a big firerate buff (with the augment), and plus you can surf everywhere and just hop off and go on foot when you feel like its too cramped, its real smooth and idk, just satisfying. I just think the problem is that people think they need to always be riding merulina, and then they get stuck in the hypotheticals and try to force it into somewhere it shouldnt be forced in. A bit long winded and rambly but yeah, the secret is to flow between the board and on foot.

The part that saddens me is the only good way to play yaleri is to not be yaleri. I also wanted to say I've been watching your "But Why" videos a lot recently and really enjoy the format. I think it would be a little funny to add in a sound affect after the but why like "secrets" from the death note ost or something. Having some actual background instead of just raw information which is why I watch it but it's a little hard to keep full attention sometimes. Great work!
I honestly really like using k drive I go use to most tile set to the point I can do them just fine on merilina. Loyal merilina is a good augment for those who just dont like k drive

As someone who has actually used sprint boost before, I put it on Dante because he has (for some reason) 1.38 speed at base so he goes zoom... I also don't have growing power so honestly what else am I gonna put on him?

Loyal + Guardian Merulina sounds like it'd be hella survivable given it spawns sea snares to regen the bonus health all the time.

If you want to try absolutely silly build, you can helminth aquablades onto Nyx. Nyx's Singularity augment will pull enemies into your blades So you can TRULY become a blender ball.
It's an awful build because singularity isn't affected by range and you can't use assimilate with it, but man it is great for the lolz
(Also surging blades doesn't increase the damage or the orbiting blades, only the one you shoot)

So about Gara I like her but it’s just such a pain setting up her splinter storm and it’s so fast to drop it back off, if it had a longer timer or there was a mod that made it permanent ied use that ied even use a mod that takes up two slots just for that QOL feature as I hate having to juggle timers there are so meny other things to keep track of in game with keeping up with teammates, making sure your not taking too much damage, getting lost on some of the tile sets and add into that having to juggle timers or you will have to spend ages building the stacks back up needless to say I don’t run her in that build.
I'm going to be honest as someone who play's her alot 24.7 of my playtime has been her so shes my most used fame
Her original argument is just powerful for me to switch to this argument as i use the knell prime and tennet plinx with her that 200% fire rate and reload speed plus with high strengh one bubble kill and merilena is back to max is just to good of a argument to give up for a qol argument

this build has always been possible, and can be made stronger if you focus on spamming 3 rather than just leaving it as an aura
Add in some sort of armor strip and I feel like this would be the dumbest yet the most fun someone can have by just running around and doing nothing lol
Wait, i thought you have to be riding merulina to get free blades to shoot? If you use the augment, you cant ride her so i would imagine you just can't get free blades.....i cant see his energy bar in this video well enough to see if hes pating the casting cost....has anyone tested this for sure?
I feel like we didnt need an agument to remove her kdive ability we needed a way to toggle the speed between regualr speed and fast speed so we could navigate through the normal tilesets xD

She is fun now and I was surprised that my Yareli can now survived steel path better and I can kill them with my weapons and blades.

Personally not a big fan of the new augment, because you can only have 1 merulina augment at a time, and my main use for yareli was getting silly amounts of fire rate from the other augment and arcane velocity combined with arcane pistoleer

Speaking on your surging blade idea on inaros I did something similar with chroma and his new vex armor augment and its pretty great.
Also have been using it on mag since surging blade becomes a saw blade inside magnetize that just keeps growing in dmg.

Yareli’s not bad at all, some people just hate her skateboard. I actually enjoy it from time to time but am glad there’s an alternative now.
