I believe he is one of the MOST INSPIRATIONAL people working in British Music.
In British- Hip-Hop, just like Stevie Wonder is the artist who makes music as a reflection of Black America, Ben Drew as (Plan B) makes Hip-Hop and Soul Music, with a Social and Cultural (World-Wide) Conscience.
For me, he is the epitome of a TRUE Music Artist.
But he is even more than this, he is also a GREAT music-visionary video director.
It is not just his music but also his visionary as a video director that makes him a very unique person in British Popular Music.
And a very good actor

There is no end to Ben's talent, he has it all.
Words can't explain how glad I am to see this man back, his message is what we need to hear from artists. Nowadays the artists we hear are so manufactured so centred with their bodies and so dumbed down. I'm so glad Ben has decided to sing this album and not rap his word really comes across when he sings, the pain and passion really shines through. Can't wait for the video.

Wow. We've been following Plan B since day 1 on Myspace and he's always been a fantastic storyteller no matter what medium he chooses, rap, song, feature film.... Although since Ill Manors he was said to want time with his family you can't stop a great artist from creating so it will be cool to see how this finished film looks. Judging by the voice-over it will be as intelligent and thought-provoking as all of his other work. Can't wait to see it!

I feel like I'm so outside of what ever the hell this is but it's so amazing that it captured my attention enough to ignore the crazy guy on the train near me arguing on the phone. Little moments matter and the moments within this video are amazing. I don't know how a group of people can join together to perform the personality of a single character but u did it and it's fucking amazing!

I'll tell you a Story, but no where near as good as Ben Drew does, this artist is the only person who has made me change the style of music I listen to now currently, I am a big fan of Uk Garage, I would never listen to hip hop or Motown crossed over with Rap music / Hip Hop, the first song I heard was "Praying" which I downloaded the one song but not the Full Album, I had heard "she said" before I liked the song but the track never Grabbed my attention like "Praying" Did, there was more songs in the charts plan B had written sung produced & played instruments to which didn't grab my attention, maybe a year wen't by and I asked my Brother to put me some music on my iPod, my Brother put me two of plan B's Albums on my IPod, I remember going back to his First Album which I had never heard before, I flicked through the album and got to the track "Charmaine" That was it, I had heard Rap but not in this shocking style, I listened to the first album from the start track 1 to track 16, I realised this person can Rap, sing, play the Guitar, act on films, but going back to the first album I Realised The Things Plan B was rapping about made me realise Ben Brew can rap deep but in a very Clever way & not Just a hooded badboy as he come across in the film he played a part in "Adulthood".
I would google words & sentences I had never heard in bens songs before like "Embalming fluid" taken from the song "sick to Death" and think" how the fuck does plan b know about a fluid that keeps people alive ?
After that I got to the second Album "Strickland Banks" I noticed the sound had changed straight away in a good way but also not only can this guy really Rap this guy can really sing, I then realised the Album told one big Story, after listening to "Strickland Banks album" I went to the extreme level of appreciation to an artist, I had never been to a live Concert But I went to my first live concert to a real artist, Rather than going to a night club to see my Favourite Garage DJ.
The first half of the concert was Strickland Banks & the Second part of the concert was "ill Manners" the 3rd album which plan B was just introducing only the two songs "I'll Manners" which was all about the Looting that went off in London & politics" & the other track was Deepest Shame", the concert pissed it down with Rain but I still had a brilliant time to my first concert.
After waiting a few months for the Album I'll Manners to come out, the 3rd Album reached number 1 in the charts, I listed to the full album and realised I have to see the film to know what plan b is rapping about, I bought the DVD "I'll Manners" which ben Drew Directed & written, the film was again totally different from the other two albums.
Now we have Director & Story teller, I would google words from the the I'll Manners Album like "verbatim" & "Narrator" after that I become obsessed with plan b, I purchased every vinyl released & CDs, I searched right back before the first album to his underground Stuff, one tune that really struck me was "so many people" it was a cheap budget video with plan b reading lyrics from paper & pen but a great song, this is the longest CZcams comment I've ever written and this is only the basics of Plan B, I have hammered the fuck out of "In The Name of Man" and promoted the track as much as possible, there are too many things I would like to say about in the name of man but I think Plan b covers everything you need to know in the making of "in the name of man" sorry if I board the fuck out of some people but I would love to Remix in the name of man on a remix EP, Amen
