The module at the bottom of the pillar is likely the key card reader to lock and unlock the car, so you might want to relocate that on the cyber roadster to keep keycard functionality

All that effort when what we need is the Repeater tilted to see sideways. The only cameras that can see Left/Right at intersections are the B-pillars which are 9 feet behind the nose & behind our backs. This is the horrible flaw in the suite requiring TONS of creeping into cross-traffic to see beyond obstruction. I've been so tempted - almost bought the nylon pryers etc
Was wondering if the coverage of cameras is reduced or not ? As from the original location the camera is covering a cone from let say 1,2m now that your take it down to let say .6m what is the coverage reduction ?
I'm going to guess no - I don't know about Tesla's implementation, but in general these sensor fusion platforms have a pretty detailed model of where the sensors are located and although the software can learn the exact positions it's within a fairly narrow window and if the calculated offset between the sensors is outside of that small range it will just error out. The test you did isn't going to tell you much because you still have the correct basic location, which isn't going to be the case in your mechanically modified target vehicle.

I doubt it, it’s likely a controller for the camera and heating module. Key card to unlock can only be used on the drivers side pillar
The fact that it’s going to autopilot makes all this so much more worth it. Good job bro keep grinding!

Judging where the line dissects surely only requires blue tack and string. 🤔
just remove the camera from that panel and make another one smaller with 3D printer
ig no , they are programed mathemathically for covering all angle acc to model shape ,
omg it worked , so if its not drastically changed form previous placement they work
