Hello! It's been a long time. I checked your videos, and it turns out that I just haven't been getting notifications when you post. Anyhow, good to see you again.
FANTASTIC!!!
This is awesome for thicker jewelry projects or larger flat pieces that you want to do different layers of color with. It would help with doing bigger quanity batches where you have 2 or 3 of the same mold like jewelry or small wall mounted pieces.
Yes! Totally! Also for these colder months coming up.
Thank you I am getting one for Christmas I didn't even know this existed and I've been doing resin for a while
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for sharing
Thank you for the video. Trying to decide which mat to purchase. I'd rather purchase the Let's Resin one, but it doesnt come with a cover. What do you use or could suggest? Thanks much
Can I use just a regular heating pad?
Word to the wise: look for reptile heating mats. They're exactly the same but usually cheaper because they don't have the craft-price-hike
Holy crap you are a freaking genius thank you! I just checked Amazon to check the pricing on the craft mat vs the reptile pad and the price difference is insane. Thank you so much. I found one on Amazon that came with two pads for half the price of a single resin craft pad. Do you have any recommendations on best brands?
GENIUS!
What's the best brand you recommend?
Do you need the same amount of ventilation or does the cover contain the fumes? I'm concerned about not being able to open windows in winter...
I don't have the technical answer for this but my guess is that you still need the ventilation because the fumes under the cover can still escape since it's not airtight. It will also be released into the air once you uncover it...I usually keep the window open and close the door to the room so that only that room gets cold.
Thank you!
I wonder how long it would have taken to be fully solid? Maybe a couple more hours? I read that you should wait a few days to send epoxy resin. Is that correct? I’ve been using a lot of UV and I’m just now starting epoxy.
Most brands of resin curedand can be demolded at about 24 hours.
👍
And I tried to order on from the let's resin website but the dont ship to Canada
Amazon has it.
What is recommended for the pad to sit on. Thank you.
I just have it on my work table
What did you have the mat set on high, medium or low?
She said she put it on high
I have this but it has been forming bubbles in my projects. Would you happen to know why or have any tips to prevent it?
Try mixing the resin slowly. I find that it is the biggest issue for me regarding bubbles.
Mix slowly but you can also let the project start to cure for an hour or 2 without extra heat popping bubbles with a long neck lighter or heat gun. Then put the heat mat on maybe trying to get the temp 20-30 degrees warmer than room temp. I'd also use a box as a dust cover/heat trap.
What temperature works best
I'm afraid I didn't check, I just turned it half way up.
Convection oven works the best
How do you use the oven
Can you help me please
