- Without hinges, it'd be pretty hard to open doors. In today's video, I show you how I go about making my barrel style hinges on all pits that come out of GreenMoney Fabrications. What size rod do you use?
5/8"
What size round and tube did you use for your hinges? What round did you use for the jig?
The round stock I use is 5/8", and I machined the tube to be a 5/8" fit and then sliced it with a cutting wheel to allow for expansion with the heat. What I do now is use a brass bushing with a 5/8" I'd and a 3/4" od and use 3/4" id tubing
