Plastic coffee cup waste is being cut by a simple change

A simple change in the way hot drinks are priced at one university has made a big difference to the number of cups that are thrown away, and it's not costing customers anything extra.

I would dispute the assertion 'you have to have the penalty to get the meaningful behaviour change' because our (BetterPoints') programmes are proving that positive incentives are an important part of the mix when it comes to behaviour change. But they have to be meaningful to the individual, reviewed, augmented, reinforced and iterated - which is where technology, sound methodology and enthusiastic programme teams become important.
